Avoid Halfords Leigh

I had a front and rear dash cam fitted by this store. I had a 1 week old vehicle inspected for damage before the fitting. I put my car in their designated areas. I came back to a big scratch on my rear bumper. Went to tell the fitter Arlo who already had Tcut without asking him. He then proceeded to use it without permission on my car. He then denied doing it. I explained we did a pre inspection that showed there was no damage to a week old car. The car was put in their designated spaces and left to have a service from them which was paid for. I returned to a damaged vehicle. I contacted the customer services at Halfords who were appalling. They claimed the fitter denied responsibility as they wasn’t even in the area of damage (it was at the rear and I had a rear dash cam fitted). I tried to get a cheap repair quote of ?100 but still they refused so now will cost them a lot more in court. Very poor customer service with zero accountability. Avoid the Leigh store.

NEVER use Halfords - stolen money!

I needed a tyre replaced so booked online for a Sunday morning. I received a call later that day to say there was a glitch in the system and I shouldn't have been able to make the booking. I asked to have the order cancelled and I would book elsewhere. I received an email confirming my refund but never received the refund back in my account. I contacted customer care who were extremely rude in the first instance and more helpful in the second. They said they'd elevate my case to the specific refund team. I heard back from Toni on the Customer Support team on the 30th of August saying my refund would be with me in 3-5 days. I still haven't had my refund. I've emailed on two separate occasions and heard nothing.Total value of my tyre and fitting was ?160. Halfords have taken my money and are not returning it and now ignoring me. Do not use this company, ever!

Bike carrier fitting excellent

We booked a bike carrier fitting at the Beverley store and it was excellent. It was all made up and ready to put on our tow bar when we arrived and the staff showed us how to attach it, how to put the bikes on and all the safety checks. They were more then helpful. It is a Halford's own make, so good value price, and so far it is excellent.

Awful company!! Avoid at all costs!

Placed an online order a month ago which was cancelled by them because item wasn't in stock. After weeks of back and forth with customer service, being strung along that the item is still going to be delivered to me, eventually i requested refund. Well, month is gone, still no refund. Had an email telling me to go to the store and collect it. Which is absolutely unacceptable taking in account that it was their fault I didn't receive the item, they have still marked it as collected and now they are asking me to waste my time and petrol to drive to the store to collect my own money which they have taken out of my account as soon as I placed the order. Avoid this company!! Absolute disgrace to treat customers this way. I will never shop with Halfords again.

Can’t phone a store

Can’t phone a store. Multiple menu and messages about using the website? Will the FAQs know if I left a personal possession on the store counter? No. Can I get an answer from a real person? No. Cut the cr** and allow people to talk to people.

Halfords offer 'Price Match' but make it too difficult to provide evidence

Halfords offer to 'Price Match' and I found that the Pure Pro escooter I purchased earlier today, was ?30 cheaper at Currys. However, even though Halfords offer this Price Match, they offer no way to provide proof, as they don't provide an email address, and their Indian Chat Centre is utterly and completely hopeless, ending the chat after 2 seconds when they ask you to provide information that takes longer than 2 seconds to type. I have retained the screen shots and transcripts from this futile interaction.

Unprofessional

I had a very disappointing experience at Tralee store. The customer service was extremely poor from start to finish. I was given misleading information about the product, and when I asked for a refund, it was flatly refused. The so-called “experts” working here had little to no knowledge about the items they were selling, which was very frustrating. To make matters worse, the store manager was openly rude in front of both staff and other customers, which was unprofessional and embarrassing.I expected a much higher level of service and honesty, but instead left feeling disrespected and let down. I would strongly caution others before shopping here.

Hi visited Halfords branch in.

Hi visited Halfords branch in Scunthorpe other day next to Currys as was in need of some help regarding pegging. The gentleman was very knowledgeable and very helpful as he has had the experience before and told me wd40 was the best lubricants to use that doesn’t leave stains. Just wanna say thank you for the help and should be promoted to top pegger.

Halfords - Dartford do not trust these so called experts with your car or bike had a tyre replaced and damaged the alloy wheel. Purchased a mountain bike for step son’s birthday and second time of riding it the back wheel falls off and hurts himself. Took it back to dartford store where it was built and to be met with a smug cocky arrogant person who actually accused us of making the wheel loose on purpose, like yea I’m going to loosen this wheel and let him ride it. I was absolutely appalled and find it utterly disgusting how a member of staff would accuse us of doing it on purpose and trying to pass the blame. Whilst his fixing the back wheel he checks on the front wheel and surprise surprise guess what the front wheel is loose as well. Seriously what kind of untrained incompetent staff work at this place not a gcse between them. Avoid this place Complaint made to head office
