I purchased a Halfords Cool Box from the Cribbs Causeway store on 9/9/25. As I left the store a young Halfords employee called Matthew asked me if I needed help carrying the box to the car. I was extremely grateful. Such a pleasant young guy, thanks Matthew! Great service.
Hi there! I’ve been booking a tyre change to my Audi all four of them for a mobile service! The booking window was between 14,00 and 16,00 on 01/09/25. The man has arrived in 15,40 without calling me in advance as was described, after the greetings his first words were quote -why you didn’t go to the garage? 😡 I was unpleasantly surprised by such type of question! He was constantly on the phone talking to someone, broke his wrench 🔧 said he must go back to the office to get other one! Took him about 50 min to get back to me and shortly after that he broke the second wrench 🔧 and ask me to use the genuine wrench of my car! Took him about two and a half hours to finish the job! I regret that I decided to use the mobile service! I really hope would not be the same if I go to one of their garages!
I purchased the Halfords Premium Membership, which clearly states that a free MOT is included. I booked my MOT almost a month in advance and received several reminders via SMS and email, including one the day before the appointment.On the day, I drove 16 miles to the garage, arriving 10 minutes early as recommended. After waiting in the queue, I was informed that the MOT could not be carried out because their machine was broken. No one had bothered to notify me in advance. A new appointment was arranged, and I had to make the journey again.When I returned for the rescheduled MOT, I was surprised to be told that I had to pay for it, despite my membership entitlement. I was advised that I could request a refund, but this process has been extremely frustrating – phone calls are cut off when I try to explain, and the Chat Expert disconnects as soon as I describe the problem.The first appointment was cancelled through no fault of mine, yet I have been left bearing the costs and inconvenience. In total, I drove 32 unnecessary miles, wasted my time and money on fuel, and still ended up paying for a service that was supposed to be free.This experience feels misleading and dishonest, especially as the Premium Membership was advertised with the promise of a free MOT. The lack of communication, professionalism, and customer support is deeply disappointing.Professionalism worthy of zero stars.
They have 2 advanced cool boxes advertised, in both adverts it states ‘ ?50 off advanced cool boxes’, one has the ?200 price crossed out with the new price of ?150. The advert next to it has another advanced cool box at ?165, again stating ?50 but no cross out price. When I called customer services they admitted the advert is misleading but refused to honour the advertised offer. No wonder Halfords get poor ratings and is a company ‘on the way out’!!
Front headlight bulbs replaced at Winnersh halfords. Couldn't workout why for a few weeks afterwards found it hard to see when driving at night. Following a professional service - mechanic informs ,me not only were they fitted loosely, they were upside down. This is dangerous and unsafe practise. Halfords you will be receiving a formal complaint.
visited the Halfords store in Carlow and had an excellent experience with the customer service. Agne was incredibly nice and helpful she took the time to assist me in choosing the right car jack for my vehicle. Her friendly attitude and knowledge made the process so much easier. Really appreciated the support. Great service!
Halfords Bedford Stuart is a worker who was very frustrated and angry to both customers and his own staff upon arrival. When queueing he was on his microphone saying “I can’t be 3 f***ing places at once, if you can’t come down here, close the f***ing doors”. We were then seen, and we asked if a bulb could be changed and he said “5 minutes before closing?” “Do you think we would be able to do it 5 minutes before, with (he listed one current jobs being done)”. We then replied “apologies we didn’t know the store was closing but you could be a little nicer” and he said “could be” in a very condescending voice while turning is head and we said “should be” and then he echoed the same statement back saying “should be” and then started being very aggressive. Very unprofessional, patronising and antagonising. I am now having to find a solution elsewhere. The whole encounter was unprovoked and he spoke the same to other people in the queue.
Excellent service and help from Damian, Casper and T'?a at Halfords, Knaresborough Road, Harrogate. Helped me with my Tern folding bike, now 20+ years old. First needed help with a slipping chain, then a rebuild for my front wheel starting from scratch. Took a long time getting parts but I was informed along the way. A really helpful team - Tony Chapman
