Halfords, moving to on-line only shopping?

Is Halfords becoming an on-line store only?My local branch closed so I travelled 12 miles to the nearest store to get a rear wiper for my car (a Skoda, so hardly a rarity) only to be advised that these could only be purchased on-line. The assistant needed not to have expressed so much glee at my wasted journey.

Jason and Dave are super stars!!!

I had an excellent experience at Halfords on Newport Road in Cardiff recently. We brought our car in for its MOT, and although it initially failed on one issue, the team went above and beyond to help us out.Dave and Jason in particular were absolutely fantastic – friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. They explained everything clearly, helped us sort the problem quickly, and even allowed us to redo the test there and then, which they didn’t have to do. That kind of service is rare these days, and it really took the stress out of the situation.Thanks to their kindness and efficiency, what could have been a really frustrating day turned into a positive one. I can’t recommend this branch highly enough – if you want great customer service and a team that truly looks after you, ask for Dave and Jason!

Damage poor service and lies

Paid for a full service, radiator fault missed then charged for a new radiator weeks latter. Car kept 3days for a part they couldn't refit. Got it back with trim missing bits cable-tied on, and staff denying it after frist admitting they'd lost it ignored calls, no manager call back totally unprofessional.

I was after a set of roof rack supports for my.

I was after a set of supports for my Kia sportage roof rack I nearly made the mistake of buying the wrong ones the guy at Cramlington on Tuesday the second could not have been more helpful saved me time and money showing me the Halfords ones with fitting kit which he had to find. In a word impressed I’ll use this store again

Poor and Biased Handling by Halfords Customer Service

Halfords’ complaint handling is completely biased, dismissive, and insensitive. Instead of fairly reviewing my case, they blindly sided with the store and closed my complaint in haste, ignoring all logical points I raised. Their warranty is meaningless and feels like a marketing gimmick rather than genuine customer protection. This experience has destroyed my trust in Halfords’ products and services. Extremely poor quality, terrible after-sales support, and zero accountability. I will never buy from Halfords again and will escalate this to higher authorities.

Do not trust the online battery options for your vehicle

Do not trust the battery options for your vehicle, when you enter your registration. After being presented with 4 options for my battery replacement, I selected a mid-range battery from the list, only to be told by the helpful fitter that it is not the correct battery and I had to pay an extra ?48 on top of what I already paid. Not something you need when you already spent a rather large sum on a new battery.

Stuart at the Rustington halford was.

Stuart at the Rustington halford was brilliant, he replaced a headlight bulb for me that hadn’t been replaced for 25 years! It was not an easy task but he was great and patient with removing it and explaining to me what he was doing. Massive thank you 😊

Really disappointed with Halfords in.

Really disappointed with Halfords in Newbury today. Went to buy my daughter a bike for her birthday at the weekend. but apparently they can’t sell you one! I was told I couldn’t buy it straight away, it needed a PDI but they couldn’t do that until a week after her birthday. So I left extremely annoyed. My daughter won’t get her bike and Halford gave away a ?200 sale! Well done Halfords Newbury!

Bad attitude

My partner and myself went into the Yeovil Halfords and the attitude was appalling I asked for what I wanted and they didn't seem to know what I was after I asked for help it took a few minutes for someone to reply with how can I help but they didn't get up and approach me which is in my opinion is bad customer service. I will not shop in that Halfords ever again.
