Halfords installation horror

Bought a Dash Cam from Halfords and paid for installation. Not cheap but thought this would be the best method. The installer sat on the driver seat with a screwdriver hanging out of his coat. Resulting in several deep scratches in my seven month old car. When I returned to the car they were trying to paint over the scratches. . Followed by days of my time driving around getting quotes. The doors had to come off and I lost the car for several days. No compensation just email saying we’ve paid you and this is final. Not quality in anything they did or the way in which they dealt with it. Accidents do happen but what counts is how you respond as a Business.

Pathetic customer service

Coventry, halford.Pathetic customer services. I did a full diagnostics test for my car and they just give me a report for only tyre check & wiper. All other work done was not included in the report and when I asked for it they just got rude & didn’t entertained my queries.

No show one showed.

Booked a mobile tyre repair and no one turned up! Called to check the status when I received a completion of work receipt to be told that someone would contact me to confirm. Received a text 2 minutes before the lines closed to say someone had ‘tried to contact me’ but I had no calls or voicemails, only for the lines to be closed when I called back. Am not left without a vehicle and out of pocket

Ripped Off

booked bikes in for a service - was meant to be shown a form of the repairs and sign this but it didn't happen. Lots of extra work sneakily added on including ?15 just to clean the chain while being led to believe we were just getting gold and solver package.Ended up paying ?145 for a gold service - while the platinum service in shown as ?130 - the staff in shop also confirmed I got much less done to my bike than a gold service anyway despite paying way over the cost.Rich in the Cheltenham shop was incredibly rude and unhelpful - to us and another staff member who he attempted to bully in front of us. He eventually just walked off, refusing to help as he could not justify the ramped up price - attempting to throw other staff members under the bus also. The person who did help us was very helpful and apologetic for the poor service we received. Complete rip off, dishonest service.As an update to this - they claimed to have changed my partner's brake cables too, but having a look at them they haven't been touched, unless they decided to pop some rusty cables on there for us. What an absolute disgusting company.

AC Diagnostic

Went to have an AC Diagnostic in Halfords Garage Services Cheltenham in Swindon Road last 20th of August. Received a report with a quotation on it. Went back on the 21st to collect my car and agreed on the given quotation. I was advised to wait for their call by 26th August as they need to order the parts needed to repair/replace my AC Compressor. 26th of August passed, no call was received. Called Halfords the next day and told me they don't do that kind of job in their garage. I was like "What?!?" I was trying to ask for explanation then suddenly the guy on the other line cut the call, trying to call several times but they keep cutting the call. Very unprofessional, I am so dissatisfied with the kind of treatment.

Halfords Wickham Road

I visited Halfords on the Wickham Road today to buy a wiper for my Stonic and I was given a great service by D Dudley and his team to choose and fit my wiper and shown such kindness in doing so and wanted to say a BIG thank you.I work for the NHS and after a difficult day to be shown such kindness made all the difference to my day.:)Thank you.

Booked my cycle in for a service on gears wasted day waiting for the booking date loaded bike into car and travelled to edge Lane halfords unloaded bike and took into halfords to be told service guy ss on holiday till Thursday 6 days and would not let me leave the bike there till Thursday for the service which I paid fir

AVOID Peebles Street Halfords

Went to Ayr Peebles Street Halfords for tyre replacement after buying through TyreShopper. Miserable staff especially the older guy on the desk who just held his hand out for the keys, didn't speak or ask questions just stared and grunted! Didn't call when ready as promised and just left the keys on the windscreen. Unbelievably poor service and to top it off they took a huge chunk of paint off the rim. Won't be back. Website also makes it impossible to complain.
