Wiper blade car reg search does not work

Bought a wiper blade online giving my registration number to get a match. It did not fit. The Halfords assistant confirmed it was not suitable for my car when I returned it. I asked for a refund. Halfords only refund to the physical card you used to purchase. So not to my phone or online. As I ordered online I had to accept a gift card, although am hesitant to risk buying anything from such a shoddy out of date outfit.

My wife visited your store in Weston.

My wife visited your store in Weston Super Mare and asked for advice on which windscreen wipers she would need for our Honda CRV. She was sold a set relying on professional advice. When I fitted the wipers it was clear that one of the front ones was the wrong unit. My wife had to return to the store as I was not available and asked for the unit to be changed. She was told that yes they had in fact made a mistake and given her the wrong items but refused to remove and fit a new one without a charge of ?4.00. What an absolute joke. What ever happened to good customer service and common sense. For the sake of ?4.00 and despite your admission that you had made a mistake you have now lost a customer who will also warn anyone who will listen that Halfords are in such poor financial state that they loose sight of good customer relations. I say again , "What a Joe".

Lack of communication

Ordered a Thule roof rack for store collection from Halfords. I ordered it from them as they are a known reputable company and I needed it quickly. The order told me it would be ready for collection on Friday afternoon. I then receive an email just before Friday saying that 'there has been a change to the order and that someone would be in touch" no one bothered to contact us and Halfords cancelled the order with no explanation. When I go on the Halfords website it shows all items in the order as still being available so if it's a warehouse stock reporting issue they still haven't fixed it. This level of customer service is unacceptable and I've gone to the competition now.

Fantastic service from Llandudno.

Fantastic service from Llandudno branch. Couldn’t have been more helpful when my car failed to start not far away. They provided a pack to jump start my car to take to them where they then fitted my battery. Knowledgable and friendly

From reception to mechanics fantastic service from you all at the Oxford Branch. I take my camper van for MOT's /Service and any recommended works, all of which is carried out without fuss and smiles. The staff's knowledge is excellent too. Thank you to all of you

Shockingly bad customer service team-.

Shockingly bad customer service team- spoke with 3 different people over 2 days, all incredibly rude, not idea how to talk to customers or help resolve an issue. Ordered car parts from online and 3 out of 5 turned up, most expensive 2 nowhere to be seen. Customer service useless in sorting out so out of pocket now, will be reporting

Booked in for an Air con regas at a.

Booked in for an Air con regas at a cost of ?148 inc disinfecting system, by following day air-conditioning was blowing out warm air, I was told the system had been pressure tested but there must be a leak, I would need a specialist to put dye through to test, ?148 to have no air-conditioning and no further forward as to reason why, poor service.

Excellent Services

Normally, I don’t leave reviews unless the service is either exceptionally poor or truly outstanding. I have visited Halfords Drogheda, Ireland today and on several occasions in the past, and each time the service provided by the staff has been consistently excellent. Every product and service I have paid for has been absolutely worth it. I sincerely hope the team continues to maintain this high standard and keeps raising the Halfords name to even greater heights.

I visited Halfords in Charlton.

I visited Halfords in Charlton (Stonelake Retail Park) today 22nd September 2025 to research a Steering Lock for my car. The shop assistant Emily was so helpful and informative. She looked up what steering locks would fit my car and then went to get them from the shelves, unpacked them and demonstrated how they work and allowed me to try using them. I was so impressed with Emily. I had little knowledge of what I was doing and she really helped. Well done Emily
