Go elsewhere, terrible service.

We purchased a car radio from Halfords specifically to use the service for fitting it. When we arrived at our appointment at the Mile end store they advised that it was an online error and we shouldn't have been able to book the appointment slot there as they don't provide that service and to contact the Charlton branch. We then reached out and they didn't provide it either, after checking around we finally got a call from someone who said the Chadwell heath branch could help and booked us in for 7pm today. After driving 40 minutes there, they advised the appointment wasn't on their system. Total waste of time, extremely unhelpful & difficult to book. I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Items listed online. purchased and money was taken then had a phone call saying there was a price error and cancelled the order! SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

I want my bikes back!

Took 2 bikes in for repair. Halfords said would be sorted by Sunday No phone call on Sunday so when I rang them they said sorry we needed a part maybe weds or Thursday I wasn’t happy with this as my kids need them to get to school I rang them on Monday and the manager said he would return my call and see what they could do - nothing Now I can’t get hold of them but got hold of customer support who managed to get hold of them and they have now said it’s going to be another week and a half Absolutely disgusting! I want my bikes back!

I went to Halfords Newmarket road.

I went to Halfords Newmarket road Cambridge garage to get the car's battery tested. One mechanic who was listening to my conversation with the young man in the reception, make a sarcastic comment about the issue and let out an insulting laughter. It was not just unkind, it was unprofessional. Seems like professional customer service is extended to customers selectively.

Very grumpy service guy

I went to their shop in Brislington Bristol for a car fob battery replacement as advertised and was told by a very grumpy guy that in his words 'can't do that ' it has to be reprogrammed (Mercedes) go to Timpsons. So I went to Timpsons and spoke to the guy there and he said i bet they told you it had to be reprogrammed, yes they did i said, he said it's a lie they tell everyone that.Replaced in 5 seconds. I guess Mr Halfords should sort your staff out or your website. Why would a car accessories shop that does everything for cars send you to key cutting shop !

Awful website

They need to completely start again with their website, it’s absolutely pathetic. Jumps around, filters don’t work properly and just generally randomly does what you don’t want it to. I wanted to order a product but had to go elsewhere because the website just doesn’t work.

I came into your Biggleswade branch to.

I came into your Biggleswade branch to seek some advice on setting up my new bike (bought second hand) so it was a good fit for me for my upcoming triathlon (to be honest I wasn’t expecting too much as I know some charge a lot of money for this type of service) All of your staff were so polite and helpful, but particularly Holly, she put in time to really help me get it right. Holly ordered me a new part and adjusted my bike, then called me to come and get it fitted, she then took her time to make all the adjustments needed to ensure the fit was correct. I really appreciated her time and expertise, because without it, no doubt I would incur training injuries and possible accidents. Such a great experience of service and I hope Holly gets some recognition for her service provided, her expertise and her genuine happiness to help. Thank you Holly.

Dash cam not fitted

I had bought a dash cam, with the expectation that Halfords could fit it. As it states on their website:Booking a fitting for an existing dash camIf you've already purchased a dash cam and would now like to have it fitted, please contact your local store to arrange a fitting appointment at a time that's convenient for you.The statement above is untrue if you have bought a dash cam from anywhere else but Halfords they will NOT fit this to your car.

Pity I can't mark Halfords a minus 5

Pity I can't mark Halfords with a minus 5. So here is what has happened. I bought a Kenwood Radio and Reversing camera from the Dunstable White Lion branch. I then booked in a pre - inspection appointment only to get an email a couple of days latter to say that they have cancelled as they don't have the staff who can carry out the Pre - inspection. I then contacted the online chat to try and find out a solution - FYI they are useless as they give you a run around and they fobb you off. Then I called the contact centre they then they would try and find a store that can carry out the Pre -inspection. I had to call back a couple of days later I had to chase up eventual told the Store in Milton Keynes MK13 8PU could help. No date given no time given. So I went to the Dunstable Branch collected the Radio and the reversing camera and then drove the 23 miles to the Milton Keynes store. I was then told to speak to a young chap Kevin / Keith. He told me he could see me on Saturday 20/09 at 9am. He also told me to return the Radio and the revering camera and they would supply me one from the store. Mind you I have had to take a days leave to do all this running around. I drove back to Dunstable and handed back the Radio and the Camera for a refund. Note I am still waiting for the refund. I get home after doing over 50 miles worth of driving. Only to get an email stating the pre inspection appointment is booked for the 4/10. No contact number for the Milton Keynes store. So this morning I logged onto your website and reach out to your online chat - What a joke - They as about useful a chocolate Tea pot and that's been kin. Do yourselves a favor save the money get rid of them. I get the feeling there is not much Customer care in the Halfords organisation. I have reach the point where I am seriously considering marking Halfords as a bunch of clowns and going to another organistation to get them to supply and fit the radio and the reversing camera. Halfords you have managed to loose thousand plus worth of business and give it to someone else. Just know if I could mark you down for a Minus 5 I would.
