Great service

On my way to my allotment this morning a light came on my dashboard saying tyre pressure was low.Called into Halfords in Farnham, an extremely helpful man named Simon checked all my tyre pressures.He then went the extra mile and helped me cancel the warning light on my dashboard.Cannot fault the service I received.In less than 15 minutes I was on my way to my allotment.Jane Boniface

Chip in windscreen.

I recently purchased a new car for my wife. After driving it home we discovered a chip in the windscreen. It wasn’t affecting the drivers view but was one of those annoying once you saw it you kept seeing it. Booked online for a chip repair which was very reasonable price and to be fair wasn’t holding much hope of it being repaired.The damaged area was a spider looking chip to the windscreen approx 8mm in diameter.Booking online was easy, pulled straight up and manager said they had been expecting us. He shared it would take approx 30 minutes to repair which it did and the repair was fantastic.Very happy and would highly recommend this service.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very poor service equals lost sales at Plymouth Marsh Mills

I visited the store at Marsh Mills Plymouth, selected a product and went to the desk where Luke was trying to assist a customer with a refund. As the only person after the person being served, and with no clear indication of where to queue i chose one end and waited. whilst i stood there Luke looked at me, as did Reece who tried to held Luke on any one occasion and a third individual sat down at a desk in the corner (i assume a manager) and for the first 5 or 6 minutes nobody said that i was in the wrong place. Suddenly with 2 people having queued at the other side Reece informed me that i was in the wrong place and i would have to go and join the queue. Had they said this when i first stood where i did it would not be an issue but to make me wait for the best part of 10 mins ignoring me and then expect me to go to the back of a now formed queue is just down right poor customer service and incompetence. I obviously declined, put down the products and exited. Poor service and lost sales but with the rating they have got this is obviously what they think is acceptable. hopefully people will vote with their feet and Halfords will finally get the message!!

Free Brake Checks scam

I brought my car for a “Free Brake Check.” at the Woolwich branch for their “Free Brake Check.” What I was told bears little resemblance to reality:They claimed my rear pads were 47% when they were already on the wear indicator.They told me my front pads had only 25% life left, when in fact they had more than 50% remaining.They said my rear discs were corroded and needed replacing, yet an independent inspection confirmed they were fine.They even recommended a brake fluid change despite the brake fluid reservoir being full and clean.The quote I was given was: ?206.13 for front pads, ?160.59 for rear pads, ?251.52 for rear discs, ?49.99 for brake fluid or a total of ?668.23 for work that was largely unnecessary.When I challenged the cost of the parts, I was told that the parts they would fit in the workshop were “better” than those sold on the Halfords website. I was also told that if I bought parts myself, they would be “squeaky” — along with a string of other weak excuses.When I refused the work, the manager was clearly unhappy — and now I know why. If I had trusted them, I’d have paid hundreds of pounds for unnecessary and overpriced work.As far as I’m concerned, this “Free Brake Check” is nothing more than a scare tactic and sales trap.

Excellent customer service

Yesterday I visited Rotherham Canklow store, as I had an issue connecting my dash cam to my phone. I’d already visited another store who weren’t able to help, however the man on the till - unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he was tall, with a beard and wearing a black shirt and trousers - was exceptional. I didn’t have an appointment, but he took the time to look at the issue and immediately found the problem and corrected it in 5 minutes.Good customer service representatives are brand ambassadors for their company and this guy was superb. A great communicator, and a credit to the store.Hopefully Halfords can narrow down who he is and pass on my thanks.

I walked in and immediately got a dirty.

I walked in and immediately got a dirty look from a worker called Klaudia she seems like a bully so I spent my money elsewhere. Completely unhelpful and extremely rude! Needs sacking immediately if they want customers coming in !

I went to Halfords in Hertford (Auto.

I went to Halfords in Hertford (Auto Centre) but very disappointed with their service.The receptionist assured me that some work will be carried on the car but ended up with only less than a quarter of the work promised done, a cowboy job!Very fabulous people!So never again going back there, not sure who’s fault was but the customers need to know what’s gone be repaired or replaced on the car, you can’t promise something and after say but it wasn’t included in price!
