Call handling services are despicable

Call handling services are despicable, attempted on three separate occasions to try to book an appointment using the complex pathetic call handling system that each time cuts you off as though they cannot be bothered with your business. Will not use this service or company again due to bad customer service. No wonder the reviews are backing up and failing on each review.

Extortionate labour rates

Several years ago my wife paid for Brakes For Life and it cost around ?500 at the time but they replaced pads and discs. I have never had to get new pads on subsequent vehicles until recently.I booked the car in at National Tyres and they said they can't change the pads as the discs need changing as well so they gave me a price. They wanted ?1742.57. They told me that they got all their parts from Eurocarparts.I called the customer services and they basically said they can't do anything about pricing as that's down to the garage. They were not very helpful.I have priced up all the parts required (except replacement sensors) and I can get them for ?498.84.That means they wanted to charge ?1243.73 for fitting.My go to mechanic will fit them for ?200.00How is that price justifiable?In hindsight I think the Brakes For Life was mis-sold to my wife and personally it will be highly unlikely that i'll be going back to Halfords or any of their other outlets for brakes.

Frustrating experience with click and collect.

I ordered two items through click and collect (a fabric waterproofer and Halfords own brand paint touch up stick). I recieved an Email to say both items were ready for collection. I missed a phone call from the store - they did not leave a voicemail - I rang the number back and recieved a message saying they were busy and to refer to the Halfords website. I travelled to the store and was told that the paint stick was not in stock and did I want to cancel the order? (Why would I have ordered something I didn't actually want?) No offer to get the item delivered or sent to store. A few days ago I recieved an Email to say there is an update to my order and that I would be contacted (possibly to arrange a refund). No explanation, no apology. I haven't had that contact yet, nor any refund. I still want the paint stick as looks about the best match I've found. I also intensely dislike the way the website insists on knowing your vehicle registration number before presenting a choice of paints, my vehicle (a 1970s motorcycle) isn't recognised by the website - so no list of paints for me! The fabric water proofer was a good price however.

Car seat Redditch

Went in to the Redditch branch to look for a car seat. It was very busy at the time we went in and we went to queue to ask if anyone could help. There was a lovely man who was dealing with s another customer who overheard and said he would be able to help us in a moment.He came over and could not have been more helpful! He even tried the seat in our car and took time to show us how it all worked as there were all sorts of different buttons! We purchased the seat so he went and got us a brand new one from out the back and fitted that one in the car for us too!I think his name was Scott and was just covering that store for the day as they were short staffed. His knowledge and customer service skills were 10/10. He didn't rush us every though he was clearly busy. What a great experience!!! He really put our minds at rest that we had chosen a safe seat for our little girl :)

Awful customer service which

Awful customer service which, I gather, is based in South Africa! I was talked down to, dismissed, put on hold many times, told I needed to speak to a different department.. Never, never, never deal with Halford’s online or customer service. Always deal with the staff in your local store - much better service. Halfords need to take note - their online/telephone customer service centre is not fit for purpose.

Very disappointed

I ordered a second hand e-bike for my son from the Halfords website for ?750 and was emailed to say it was in store and ready for collection earlier than my selected collection slot. I phoned customer service to ask if I could collect early and was told by the central enquiry centre that someone would call from the branch. No one called so I decided just to wait the few days to collect. I was then sent an email a few days later saying that the bike I ordered was no longer available and had been cancelled. I was then sent another email saying that my order had been cancelled and I was to receive a different more expensive bike in its place and that an extra ?155 had been charged to my account. No one had asked if I wanted this bike and it was too expensive so I rang customer service again and asked to cancel the order and receive a refund. No refund came. Eventually after a week waiting, I went into my local store where I asked what had happened and was told I had ordered a terrible bike that was second hand that they would not sell anyway! I explained that I had been advised it was ready to collect and subsequently the charges for another bike. I have to say that I was given a full refund but the manager was quite aggressive and made it seem as though it was all my fault for ordering a crap bike. A bike that was on their website for sale and at ?750 was not cheap in my opinion. On looking at the refund receipt I had also been charged for a helmet and other accessories which in total was more than ?900. I am very confused and disappointed. My son is also disappointed. Bad customer service. Bad communication. I won’t be trying to get a bike from Halfords again.

Have done my service last week with.

Have done my service last week with them and didn t register my service into my car been told to go back to the garage where I found a very disrespectul behaviour from Windy saying that only main dealer can do it and u came at us because it is cheaper. When asked about printing my paperwork been told off wifi is not working. I said I could wait she was like u could wait as long as u want not working for 2 days now!!Very poor customer service would never go to borehamwood halfords again.

puncture repair

I had a puncture on my cycle ride this morning and Richard at Halfords Watford repaired it promptly and without charge. Superb service! Many thanks.
