Review Time
Purchased a bike on the 4th September which was due on the 8th September with 'next working day delivery'. DHL had the parcel since the 5th and made no attempt to deliver it. No updates from either Halfords or DHL regarding delivery and the parcel has then been returned back to Halfords on the 12th September which I only found out on the tracking by checking myself, still nothing from either company to say the delivery wasn't going to be delivered. Halfords customer service about as useful as a chocolate tea pot. I advised the order was being returned by the courier so I required them to refund me and cancel the order. The helpful member of staff then said "Do you not want the order? You will need to wait for it to be delivered and then return it for a refund", clearly not listened to anything I had told her about the order being returned to them by the courier and is not due to be delivered to me anymore. Apparently this would be raised the the 'back office' and they would be in touch. As of the 17th still no response from the 'back office'. No sign of my refund or the bike I ordered 13 days ago.
My son who is Autistic had a coolant leak on his car. As I was away on holiday he chose your company as it was a recognised brand. The quotation for the work was explained and as he had no choice and agreed with the repair needing the car for work.The price quoted for the actual pump was ?281 I later did research in to the price of the pump from other sources. These ranged from ?65 from Eurocarparts to ?146 from Halfords’s own website. I contacted the castleford branch highlighting this and they said it was the price on the computer and there was no way to change it. I asked about the price match quoted on your website and they said it fell outside the terms of this promise.How can you justify a 2 to 3 times mark up on a part.How many other people are being quoted inflated prices for parts and not knowing how much they actually are?Do your research before making a decision?Sent from my iPhone
I visited Halfords Rydon Park Exeter today and the service was excellent. I was initially served by a very helpful person who looked up the product I would need in a timely manner and then assisted by Sam who kindly put oil in my vehicle, both were polite and friendly whilst being professional at all times. A great experience and I would not hesitate to visit the store in the future.
I had what I suspected was a brake fluid issue. Tom from the Worcester store gladly and willingly helped us find the fluid and stood with us in the pouring rain to rip panels up to find the tank. We didn't ask, and he didn't have to. Great service. Thanks Tom.
Went in for tyre replacement of scooter as on their website. Went in no trained staff and cannot order parts in to do work. No number to call the store so Went to the nearest one which was 7 miles away. Same issue, one store wouldn't ring the other store.What's happened to halfords, used to be a really good place to go, now full of untrained staff and poor customer service
Extremely poor experience with a home delivery. My parcel cannot be delivered for more than a week due to their very bad choice of courier, delivery options they choose and the courier refusing to deliver in convenient for me time. Extremely poor customer service, lots of false promises, not responding to my complaint for ages. I can't even explore my legal rights to cancel the order within 14 days! Will never spend a penny for them again! Not to mention their jokingly autocentres that offer basic vehicle checks for free but then recommend work to be done that's actually not needed at high prices. I wouldn't recommend to anyone dealing with them and will never deal with them again.
Booked tyre change on line for 1.00 arrived at 12.30 to be told they may arrive at 14.00 they didn't so I left leaving my no to call me when they did no call I went at 16.30 to be told they were there no explanation as to why I had not been called. Extremely poor customer service.
I had a battery replacement done at Halfords Friern Barnet and Kish looked after the job from start to finish. He was friendly, efficient, and explained everything clearly. The work was carried out quickly and professionally, and my car is running perfectly. Great service – thank you, Kish!
