Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible , having Apple play plus dashcam fitted , choose what was having , had to come to check it could be fitted , then got appointment, fitted , not correctly , stereo had scratches on screen from where it had been put in , came back again also some of my lights not working from where they’ve obviously messed about with electrics , they’ve said it’s a coincidence, but I don’t think so , they’ve then decided they can’t fit it so everything taken out , but they’ve lost a couple of parts to car . Definitely would not recommend, all in all I’ve had to wait almost nine hours . Absolutely terrible. A member of staff had to collect a stereo and was complaining to me about not getting petrol money for it , I’ve had to keep coming back and I’ve had nothing for it either.

Halfords Huntingdon - Poor Manager

Halfords Huntingdon When fitting the wiper blades that were recommended / chosen for my vehicle by the staff it was clear when the box was open that they were a cheap option and not the same as those on the vehicle, But as the member of staff has taken off the original and was about to fit the replacement when I instructed him to stop the manager, Dan, instructed his shop floor cashier (who was really helpful) to not refund the fitting fee. How petty and a sad reflection of a poor manager really making Halfords look like an organisation with low standards when it comes to customer service. Two stars (vs 1) as the cashier, Brandon, was excellent, shame he was instructed so badly by the “manager” Dan who did so from his office without even coming down to the cashiers desk.

Beware of membership

Needlessly bought a Premium membership due to the battery they were going to supply being incorrect. Miraculously it was cheaper to buy a membership than pay the difference for the new battery. The original battery was their recommendation/part match not mine. Have cancelled the membership and have an email confirming this. Lo and behold the membership fee has been taken from my account today. Appalling service. Was not told at point of sale that this was an auto renew or I would never have been stupid enough to do it.

First class repair and service

I had a problem with the chain and bottom bracket of my Boardman bike whilst on a ride. Called in at Halfords in Guiseley and the problem with both chain and bottom bracket were diagnosed and fixed then and there at a remarkably good price. Rob who served me was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Could not have had a better service.

Staff not helpful one bit like it's a chore to help you but it's there job in the wrong job if they don't wanna help you don't think they want customer satisfaction what a total let down.

Poor advice

My wife recently went into the Ferndown Dorset branch as there was a problem with a bulb on the car. When applying the brake and indicating right, the dashboard indicator flashed quicker. On seeking their advice the staff members whom she asked seemed apathetic and generally disinterested, stating ‘it’s probably a wiring fault or a sensor issue’, and reluctant to take even a quick look, so unsolved away she came. . a 2 second google search said that if the dashboard indicator flashed quicker then this was probably due to the failure of another bulb, which it turned out to be, a simple change of a brake light bulb as it turned out. My complaint is if someone like me, no knowledge whatsoever really, can quickly see with a quick internet search what the problem was, then why did these ‘specialists’ fob her off so disinterestedly. 👎

Professional expertise plus kindness

I had a really difficult MOT situation weighing up whether to fix or scrap an old car. This was further compounded by breaking down in between the original test and the retest, revealing a new problem.Somehow, Halfords (Bath) dug me out of a very stressful and complicated situation, fixed my car beautifully, and got it through the test for a fraction of the price I had previously feared it would be.I can't thank and praise them highly enough, not just for their professional expertise, but for their kindness, patience, and genuine efforts to provide the best possible solutions and services.VERY highly recommended, and in me they now have a customer for life.Thanks Ian—who I believe is the assistant manager, and also thanks to the manager who helped me fit my wiper blades the day before the MOT.

On a quest to lose Customers.

It seems Halfords are on a quest to lose customers.There auto' range has been shrinking for some time, but even with the closure of my nearest store I persevered, and went online.Having a Trade Card gave me access to some good prices, but when I tried to use it said it needed registering and I should go in store. Having had the card for a few years that was a bit strange, but I went into store anyway. Staff found no issue and I was able to use.I tried to use online but the same message came up. The virtual assistant was virtually useless and eventually put me through to an agent.Who promptly closed the chat !An Email was met with the reply 'case closed' ?I tried calling customer service, that's a misnomer.After going through the various menu's to the 'complaint' section, the call ended.So it seems Halfords do not want Trade Custom ?

Would never use there services or even.

Would never use there services or even call there customer services they don’t care about the customer they don’t try help when you ask if you can ring the store again to tell me the price for a fixture or repair they are rude there at work and they couldn’t care less to help they follow a procedure and assume that’s there job done Halfords your a terrible company having call centres in Cape Town Africa were Halfords isn’t even around and they don’t care as they have bad attitude’s
