Decent processing for our business while we just needed something basic, but after some growth we needed more flexibility can what Square offered for our web sites and retail store. We switched to Netbilling after a couple of years and have been really happy, especially with the rates and customer service.
I would like to have the money owed to me out of square so that I can go on without using square anymore. I have been waiting since January to get my money and I’m not sure square is interested in helping with this matter. I have only used square once and from that 1 sale my money sits there without me having access to it. Not sure if my previous review got posted. But square is a joke I DO NOT recommend any buisness to use this company. I am a moble mechanic owner (MotoCraftLLC). I helped a young lady who's water pump went out on her the day before she moved to Alabama. The amount for the water pump and 25% of labor was more than she could have afford. So she had her step mother pay for it, her step mom paid with a credit card my buisness is fairly new and I had no way to process a credit card payment, so I downloaded square to process the payment. The next day I received a email saying that the square account was disabled and I would have to wait 90 days to receive the money on the account to be sent to me with no explanation whatsoever, when I call they say that there is no reason as to why the account was disabled and it could not be reversed. By the way I am a licensed and insured LLC with all my paperwork. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I’m a small business owner who chose Square Online because they advertised SEO customization and easy-to-use website tools. Unfortunately, that promise turned out to be misleading.Square claims you can create a “custom permalink” for products and services. In reality, you have no control over the live URL structure. Every product or service is forced into a generic URL format that includes /product/ and an item ID, no matter what you do in the SEO settings. This was confirmed by Square Support after I spent hours troubleshooting.If you care about clean URLs for SEO, customer experience, or marketing, Square Online isn’t for you. This important limitation isn’t clearly disclosed before you sign up. The user interface leads you to believe you’re creating a fully customizable URL, but that’s not the case.When I brought this issue up in Square’s seller community, I was met with dismissive, rude responses from one of their “Champions”—someone who is supposed to represent and support the community. After pushing back and asking for a resolution, I was eventually banned from Square’s subreddit for complaining. Instead of fixing the issue or clarifying their misleading product descriptions, Square silenced me. Also their "code of conduct" is vague on purpose so they can ban anyone they want if they get their feelings hurts. And who came up with INCENTIVIZING answering FIRST instead of answering CORRECTLY? their support center is a joke. This experience has cost me valuable time, effort, and trust in Square as a company. If you’re a small business owner looking for transparent tools and honest communication, I would recommend looking elsewhere.I’ll be transitioning away from Square and cautioning other small businesses to carefully read between the lines when considering Square Online and Appointments.
