Review Time
Many suspicious coincidences and clarifications! Negative reviews should definitely be taken seriously. I can see that the positive reviews come from invited people. We have not received a response from Square for nearly five days. We cannot wait any longer and have moved forward with another provider.I do not recommend anyone to deal with these people. They ask five questions and claim to review them, yet it takes them more than five days—while their own policies state that reviews take 2-3 business days!It is impossible to reach support by phone. Their lines stay on an automated system for half the day, and if you do manage to get through, the agent just repeats the same scripted response like a broken record. What should we do with the funds—return them to the client or keep waiting? Square, where are you?! The promised 3-day review period has long expired. Where is our money?Square, you have completely lost it—you survive off small businesses like us and still play games with our funds.Give me an immediate response! How much longer do we have to wait to use our account? The email says 2 days, the account says 3 days, but it has already been 5 days!
You can't trust square for transactions for your business. After processing for a couple of weeks they froze my account and stole my funds. There where no complaints and no chargebacks from my customers! There are currently no chargebacks or disputes in my account. They also debited my bank account illegally, stealing my funds. The email said something about my square account not having a high enough balance. The email also stated that any remaining funds in my account will not be made available to me. So basically they shut your account down randomly and steal funds and tell you that you won't have access to them! And when I responded to the email I got an automated response instead of a response from an actual person. So it seems that they have AI parameters in place that effectively close your account, makes them lose an incredible amount of money from a merchant and steal from you. They are now Losers! I expect the funds to be returned to my account or I will continue to review them on multiple review sites on the internet as well as better Business bureau. Instead of making thousands of dollars processing with me they chose to steal.I didn't do a lot of processing with them because I didn't trust them due to a similar issue with their competitor.. square and stripe need to be tucked in the garbage because they are no longer trustworthy options. It was all done in an automated way that basically stole my funds, and close my merchant account for absolutely no valid reason. Are these programs made in another country that are designed to screw us over? They should really learn how to run a business because anyone that has a business should not trust them with their revenue. We all know how precious lost time and lost revenue is for a small business!!!! Stealing from me and missing out on a lot of revenue with me was a Loser move. Read the comments on their posts on facebook. They have stolen over $30,000 from some merchants this way!!!
I have been with square since it's inception and that had me about 15 years ago so I don't appreciate my account only being flagged for a one-year anniversary because I have spent far too much money and time and effort learning your POS point of sale and now you rub me the wrong way because you tell me I'm in ineligible for a loan which if you would have done your due diligence you would see that I am bringing in the revenue that I need to I'm getting the clients that I need to my sales have increased over $10,000 in the past year and yet I'm denied this loan simply because I had a phone stolen from me and I had to get an emergency burner phone and now apparently I'm having to pay for that even though you had no problem approving me for a loan to pass through times I find that awfully funny and awkward. And I hope whoever may be reading this feels just as awkward as I do and more so.
Basically im a roadside service providor, i ran a card with amount of 2k$ from agero, and basically they closed down my account, and now im stuck without my payment beacuse of these people, and i tried to ask for manager, the script reader guy was like, manager is busy right now, he will call you back in 1-2 buissness days... absolute useless pointless and waste of oxygen these people are
I used square for years. My business slowed down dramatically. When I finally had another paying customer, I made and sent an invoice through Square. Again, I had been using them to accept cards for years. I started my business in 2015. They all of a sudden are asking for me to prove myself and submit an invoice which was generated by square. Now they have canceled my account. They also will not provide specificity. Are holding the money for 90 days and will not refund it to my customer. Square is absolute trash.
I'm extremely disappointed with Square. Today, I received a completely false statement from one of their representatives when I asked why my funds were being held longer than usual — something that has been happening more and more frequently lately.I clearly have official reports showing two transactions processed yesterday — one at 5:36 AM and another at 9:06 AM. However, the representative claimed:"YOUR money is not being held by us, as YOU made the transfer after 5 pm local time... YOUR bank does THAT... it's posted for up to 2 business days."This is not only inaccurate but also insulting to anyone who keeps track of their finances. I made the transfers well before 5 PM, so their excuse doesn’t add up. It's frustrating and unacceptable to be given misleading responses when asking valid questions about my own money.I expected better from a company handling financial transactions. If Square can't provide transparency and accountability, how are customers supposed to trust them.
I've had my account for a few years, where I sell art prints and handmade stuff at comic book conventions on weekends, and graphic design/printing services during the week. I used it to process payment one weekend and it was fine. A few days later, I took payment for a letterhead I designed and printed, and they decided they needed to "review my account" before I could access my funds, and that they would reach out to verify information from me. Then, without any warning or NO ONE EVER reaching out to me to verify anything, they deactivated my account and are now holding over $200 for 90 days. They refuse to tell me WHY they deactivated it, or what I could do to help reinstate it or verify who I am. I can't fix what I don't know is broken, right? When I called, they kept spouting the same copy-paste garbage response about "security reasons" being why they can't tell me what I did wrong so I don't make those mistakes again. Then they had the nerve to suggest making another account -- what's to keep them from deactivating that account if I do whatever I did that caused them to deactivate the first one? Why would I give them the chance of freezing my money again for another 90 days? Why would I give them a single penny from another transaction they're just going to hold those funds because ... whatever reason they decide? There is absolutely no protection for clients and no transparency. It feels like they arbitrarily decided to deactivate my account for no real reason. They refuse to actually work WITH their clients to fix issues, they just summarily deactivate accounts "just because."--Editing to respond to their canned response--Again, they just did a copy-paste in the reply section about "security reasons" and "refer to your original email" when the email they sent me gave literally NO REASONS whatsoever as to why the account was deactivated. No transparency, no explanation, nothing. Square doesn't care about their customers, only stealing transaction fees and then holding money so I can't pay my vendors for projects I've had printed for my customers.
This is the absolute worst choice I have made, and I have made some bad choices. At first everything was good, and then the problems started. I would deposit checks and they started holding them for 6 days. For a small business it’s hard to wait 6 days for my money. At first they didn’t hold it went through within 30 minutes. The last check was an 800$ check from wells Fargo business account not even a personal check. Also they slowly jack up your rates. Just all around a terrible company for small businesses.
