Review Time
I have to brag on square and their dispute department. I run a non profit theater and we have had two incidents where someone tried to say we charged their cars fraudulently to get their money back. Both situations the person ordered the tickets online themselves and received their tickets via email. Both times the person showed up to our theater and showed their tickets. The first time, it was paid through our website payout department. They gave the money to the card holder despite our evidence that the person actually came and saw the show. We then started using Square. When the second person made the false claim, I sent evidence and was worried the same thing would happen. But Square actually reviewed the evidence and saw they they were lying and decided in our favor! This is unusual as a very high percentage of chargeback claims automatically go to the card holder regardless of the evidence that they charged the card themselves and they got the product. It took a while... But it was worth the wait! I am so thankful that square protected me and my business against the false claim and I will stick with them!! Thank you Square!!
This one is going to be a rough one, because i'm half and half on this business,so i submitted a report because one of their users made a website impersonating fortnite, saying if they put in their parents email they would get free robuxs, waited 3 for a response [which is bad for me as a scambaiter] put in all the info i could, and got this response "Hi francis,Unfortunately, we cannot act editorially on the content of our customers’ websites. In certain cases, where a clear line has been crossed (e.g. advocating violence, hate speech, racism, etc.), we can take more immediate action; however, this website doesn’t cross that threshold. If the court determines the site to be libelous, we can take it down immediately. You can file a DMCA complaint regarding the site if you know/are the photographer behind the photos on the site. The photographer (not the subject) owns all copyright for photos, and if the photographer submits that they own the content of the site, then we can take the photos down.I recognize this is tremendously frustrating for you, but we must be exceptionally careful in these situations and cannot take sites down on the premise of someone not liking its content. Although this isn’t easy, we have to protect a customer’s right to free speech unless it is, otherwise, clear or proven that the speech is unlawful." first of all,you clearly didn't read a word i had said,scamming/phishing is NOT freespeech,2 i cant submit a DMCA as i do not own fortnite nor work for epic games, but cheers for defending scamming [not] the reason i have put 3 stars is because another person responded defending what i said saying "Hi Bella,This is Laura from Square Customer Success, I hope you are having a lovely day. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a payment processor.I signed up for Square to accept ACH payments from a customer. The platform let me create and send the invoice, and the customer submitted payment. Several days later, Square deactivated my account without any explanation. At first, they claimed the funds were never withdrawn — but days later, I received notice that the money was taken from my customer's account.Since then, I’ve been caught in a nightmare of customer support loops. I can’t issue a refund through the dashboard because my account is deactivated. Support repeatedly told me it was “being escalated” and that the funds would be returned to the customer in 2 business days — it's been over a week and nothing has happened. Every time I reach out, I’m transferred from one rep to another, and no one can provide a resolution or even basic follow-up.This company is clearly not equipped to handle legitimate business needs, especially when large amounts of money are involved. Absolutely unacceptable. I would strongly advise other small businesses to stay far away from Square.
My website has been inactive for a very long time. I decided to renew my interest to re-develop my website, but I wasn't sure if Weebly was still in operation. My question was promptly attended to by customer service within a day. I am well assured and can trust the company to continue with their high level of attention and services to me when needed.
My restaurant uses Square. We currently have 10 stations set up on a busy day. We accept online and in person orders. Our kitchen uses just the paper tickets - we don't even use the KDS that Square offers. Square is providing us the tools to be able to manage our operation in a timely and smooth manner. Square is set up where we can manage our inventory and present our products however we choose. We don't have to go through anyone at Square to add/delete/modify anything. Yes, we have gone through several devices as our staff is tough on hardware but have enjoyed seeing Square hardware evolve with changes in small things such as plugs and big things like larger registers and new handheld devices. The Bus Bar and Grill will continue to grow with Square and look forward to the continued relationship.
