Was scammed out of money by a paid customer bc they disputed a charge that the customer paid an invoice through email! Now I’m out $651.95 and I had to get the police involved and file fraud charges on the customer bc square didn’t investigate with the information I gave them! This customer was about to be put in jail bc of square negligence
Currently, I am enjoying Square. I love that they allow the opportunity for clients to book online and pay through the app even if you are on the free program. I love many and mostly all of the features that are provided for the free program. The only thing that I didn’t like was the initial relationship with Square because all of my information was lost when I became a square invite on another person‘s platform. We eventually got it squared away and now I absolutely enjoy using square.
Square has been a good platform for my business so far nothing but good things to say, I think there should be one set fee for each transactions and not a different percent for each amount, but overall good, timely and fast processing
I was so excited to attend a County Flea market to start selling my art and vintage items! I decided to use the Square POS because I was told it was the best. The first day my sales were slow, but my Square worked perfectly. The second day, last day of the event, the Square POS approved many payments and verified all but one went through after each transaction. I did not know I needed to review my email to look to see that each transaction went through and was not supposed to only trust the POS that said the transaction was approve and DONE. I did not check for email verification on Saturday until I got home. Everything was fine. On Sunday when I checked there were no emails to verify sales. I checked the Square POS and it stated 0 sales for the day. I was selling my products all day long and was expecting a minimum of $400.00, but more like $600.00 due to how much product was given out. My heart sunk.I called customer service and was told they could not see any transactions for the day and asked if I had receipts. I told them that I trusted the POS to keep track of the sales for me and I did not realize I needed to manually hit the receipt button because I did not do that the day before. There was nothing they could do . I asked the customer service to check their logs to verify all the approved transactions in relation to my app. Lucas said he checked and there were none. If transactions are not going through, then why did I not receive an error message or why did the POS show it was successful dozens of times! This makes no sense! My friends told me to wait a few days and call them again. I did and received the same answer. I feel scammed!!!! They took my whole day’s pay and there is nothing I can do about it!Someone got the money and it was not me!!I got scammed and do not know what my next steps are to rectify this!
We utilize square to help manage our Girl Scout cookie business. Margins are very thin for the scouts and so when you weight in square fees, it greatly diminishes the amount the girls make because the fees come out of the girl's income. For example, if someone buys a box from a scout, they typically pay $6 ($1 profit goes to the girls). Square fees for the box are $.29 and so the girls now make $.71/box. You should consider donating your product & services for Scouts and promote it to all your customers as a way you are giving back and supporting girl lead micro businesses. The good will would go a long way!!
