Dumb update

And unfortunately, because you're using a USB-connected Star TSP100 printer on a Square Stand, the app is defaulting to auto-printing the receipt, and hides the toggle to turn that off unless you go to the Square Dashboard.---this is the shit companies do so you buy there product, I don't wanna get a printer from you so it's easier just put the setting back on the app, who thought this was a good idea.

Square cost me my largest account

Square cost me my largest account! I setup my account and my first transaction was $10,800 and the card went through but the funds were put on hold until they verified various things. I sent them everything, and after 4 days they deactivated the account with no explanation, I called and they had no explanation. I lost my customers order because it missed the shipment window and they have stated they will move their business to someone else.

I have now lost over $50k worth of work.

I have now lost over $50k worth of work due to square holding my clients down payment for 2 jobs. Strongly recommend you do not use them if your are doing business

Overall ease of use is great

Overall ease of use is great. Customer support is pretty efficient and wide enough variety of products and services for my specific business are offered. I've been very happy overall with my square experience and meeting my expectations of service.

What a joke

What a joke , absolutely disastrous experience. Charged $7000 for the first time and a day later terminated my account and they said they will hold the money 90-180 days to verify , what ?.You can call Amex , they have verified and you can call customer in 2 minutes, 180 days ? Call to customer service is another joke , They have one idiot answer the phone after a long hold and keep repeating, unfortunately unfortunately The supervisor does not even dare to come and answer They need to have a law suit on their ass .Please do yourself a favor and don’t risk your business and credibility on these idiots .

Horrible business practices and don’t.

Horrible business practices and don’t even get me started with “customer service”. They do “ramdon account reviews” after every large transaction keeping the funds hostage. Agent will gaslight you to then hang up the phone on you. Just stay away, go to clover, stripe, any other company than this.

Transfer of ownership

Our co-founder passed away a few years ago. We were able to maintain the account through login's without issue. All of our logins are assigned to agents of the organization. When we experienced a fraud issue with our bank, we made attempts to change the bank account and ran into an issue with that since our logins are not assigned to account ownership. We reached out to Square and when we notified them of the issue, they informed us, "You can't use the account of a dead person." We asked for transfer of ownership of the account and instead, our account access was withdrawn. When trying to rectify the issue, we were asked to provide a death certificate. We did that a week ago once we were able to secure a copy of the document. Nothing. I followed back up two days ago and after 40 minutes, I was told to just open a new account or escalate the situation. The issue with this resolution is donations are still being taken into the account we don't have access to, we are actively collecting donations for a capital campaign and opening a new account isn't helpful, especially with a balance available to transfer, likely around or over 1,000.00. This may not seem like much, but as a non profit organization, its helpful, especially since they are recurring. So we are currently waiting for the escalation process and the solution we are given is, "Open a new account."

Square processing is good advance loan program never gives offer

Square processing is good and we have no complaints at this time on the processing. However we joint square to have the option for advanced business loans based on our processing volumne which has been high. All details are reported as good by square, but after one year we still do not get any loan offer. That is dissapointing as we would have probably went with a different processor that does offer the advance loan funding options.
