Review Time
I'm a newer business who has had funds held for review twice now within 30 days, one being from a repeat customer. Hard to maintain and run a business when Square is periodically "reviewing" you account over and over despite not having any issues or customer complaints/disputes. Time to find another company!
Money hungry company that understandably charges to take payments however they also charge monthly subscriptions for every possible little thing. Wanna have a website? 15 a month. Wanna send marketing emails? Another 15. Want customers to make reservations? It goes on for every little thing. For a company that is all about small business they sure know how to screw them over.
Square has been great ever since I started using it. There have been a couple times where my card reader wouldn't connect, and maybe a couple of payments not going through due to the app crashing, but honestly I think that was on my end, not Square's. I love using Square to simplify card payments and recordkeeping and will continue to use it in the future.
The square system itself has been great but it does not like to always work with QuickBooks online. sometimes its good other times it messes up and takes twice as long to go through and fix all the information. Going to give it another year and if if it doesn't clear up I think I'm going to have to switch.
I’m a small business owner and extremely disappointed with how Square handled a recent payment dispute.A customer purchased an item from my retail cart and later filed a dispute. I submitted clear evidence, including camera footage showing the customer physically made the payment and receiving the product. Despite that, Square informed me the case was closed in the cardholder’s favor.Now I’ve asked Square to show exactly what evidence was sent to the bank on my behalf. I’m still waiting for that response, and honestly, I’m starting to lose trust in the process. As a seller, I did everything right — but Square still allowed money to be taken from me.If dispute can go through even when sellers have solid proof, how is this system safe for businesses?Sellers: be careful. This platform does not protect you the way it promises to.I won’t continue using Square if this is the kind of “support” I get.
Recent product design changes, without notice, affected my online platforms negatively. The fixed checkout process became bogged down and confusing. What Bozo manager approved serious design changes in ordering site items affecting existing Online Campaigns negatively? Someone should be fired for cost cutting at the expense of client trust.
