Dear Halfords Auto Centre Team,Job Number 077/9032764I am writing regarding recent repair work carried out on my vehicle at your branch, relating to an issue with the DPF sensor.To summarise my understanding of events:My car was brought in due to a fault with the DPF sensor.The repair was processed via a claim with the AA.I was advised by your staff that the AA would not cover the full cost and that I was therefore required to pay ?175.Upon receiving the receipt, it listed “Adapter, brake lines x1,” which did not appear relevant to the DPF sensor repair. When I queried this, I was told to ignore the invoice, which I found confusing.For clarity and peace of mind, I would like official written confirmation from yourselves regarding the following:Is it correct that the AA disputed the full cost of the work and only covered part of the repair?Is the ?175 I was asked to pay (including any excess) accurate and in line with what was agreed between Halfords and the AA?I would be very grateful if you could review your records, investigate this matter, and provide confirmation. At this stage, I have concerns that I may have been charged incorrectly. Booked and paid for my bike to be serviced on 10th Aug. When I came to collect it after my holiday on the 16th Aug, it still hadn't been done as the team had been busy. No one had even communicated when dropping the bike or during the week that it may not be done.The guy I spoke to when collecting it did kindly service it then but I had to wait around an hour for this to be done!
Do not take out the ‘membership’. They tempt you at the till then when it comes to renewal I cancelled it way in advance which they make really long winded to do. They then just took the payment for renewal anyway. Dite customer service with no obvious phone number.
Absolute disgusting service. Ordered tyres to be fitted at home as I can’t drive my vehicle (flat tyre). Had the 8am-8pm slot. They call me at 5pm to say they’re not coming and to re-book. Refund takes 3-5 working days! What happens if people don’t have the money to go elsewhere because YOU have their money?
They are terrible. They say deliver next day then they don’t. It takes 8 days to deliver one of the products damaged and the other product I’ve not even had a message as to when it might be delivered. Good luck trying to get answers when you continually ring and email. Only communication you get is do you love your products (that haven’t been delivered). If they weren’t a national company I’d think they were a scam operation. Worst retail experience I’ve had in 30 years.
