Dear Halfords Auto Centre Team,Job Number 077/9032764I am writing regarding recent repair work carried out on my vehicle at your branch, relating to an issue with the DPF sensor.To summarise my understanding of events:My car was brought in due to a fault with the DPF sensor.The repair was processed via a claim with the AA.I was advised by your staff that the AA would not cover the full cost and that I was therefore required to pay ?175.Upon receiving the receipt, it listed “Adapter, brake lines x1,” which did not appear relevant to the DPF sensor repair. When I queried this, I was told to ignore the invoice, which I found confusing.For clarity and peace of mind, I would like official written confirmation from yourselves regarding the following:Is it correct that the AA disputed the full cost of the work and only covered part of the repair?Is the ?175 I was asked to pay (including any excess) accurate and in line with what was agreed between Halfords and the AA?I would be very grateful if you could review your records, investigate this matter, and provide confirmation. At this stage, I have concerns that I may have been charged incorrectly.
