Halfords the gift that keeps on giving

Halfords the gift that keeps on giving! I ordered parts online for collection, yep turned out to be a complete waste of my time, parts were wrong despite me adding in correct car details, when I returned to the Hemel store to highlight the problem.. frankly Halfords Hemel staff could not careless. I can't see Halfords staying in business forever more, something has to give.

Had to sort with a chargeback

Evri lost my order of brake pads + discs. Despite explaining this to a call handler and someone on live chat, they couldn't get their head around the fact the order was lost and kept telling me it had been dispatched. Had to resort to a chargeback to get my money back. Crackers a large company in this day and age doesn't have a better setup.

Can't wait any longer

Completely useless. Ordered a bog standard item on their website for collection at my local store. 8 days later they haven't even found the item. If it's out of stock don't advertise it on your website.

DO NOT sign up for Halfords Motoring.

DO NOT sign up for Halfords Motoring Club. They make it impossible to cancel. They cancel chat bot agents when you try to discuss and then if you try to call you dont get put through or put on hold until you drop off.

Halfords are a complete joke

Halfords are a complete joke ! Walked into Friern Barnet retail park to ask if the mechanic can tighten a bolt underneath my seat because its loose! What do I get ? " im not allowed to touch your bike neither can I give you a tool to do it, I have to contact my supervisor .... ARE YOU FOR REAL ? The supervisor eventually tightened the bolt... it took 30 seconds... not the point though.... if i never pushed him it wouldnt have been done.... and this is exactly the problem with this country .... shit roads , shit bike paths, shit government and now shit bike shops...Halfords you can do one!

Never change tyres at Halfords

I had the tyres changed by mobile mechanic.Initially the mechanic didn't balance the wheels after fitting new tyres so I experienced severe vibration.Then I asked for rebalancin. However the quality of tyres were so bad that they were off shape making it impossible to balance properly even with lots of balancers.So I asked for replacement (as the mechanic also suggested) but the mechanic didn't even turn up. Now I'm trying to call but they're not picking up. I cannot even get a refund now, it's basically a scam.

Do Not Use Halfords for MOT Tests

Before Halfords took over National Tyre, I was a loyal customer for many years where I regularly visited for MOT tests and tyres. After my last MOT test under Halfords I will never use them again. They failed my front brake discs which were less than a year old. I hurriedly had the discs and pads changed at another garage before going on holiday and I later find there was nothing wrong with them. NEVER trust Halfords, go elsewhere.

They will sell you a Pure e-scooter but...

They will sell you a Pure e-scooter, but then refuse to fix any punctures saying its against their policy to do this for this brand of e-scooter. Not great customer service in my view

E gift voucher issues

I ordered a new child's car seat on line and paid with an e gift voucher. I was then e mailed to say it was not in stock so I went into the store to cancel. I was told the money would go back on the gift card within 36 hours. 20 days later I am still waiting. Customer services were very unhelpful. I was given an e mail address to send details to but then received an automated reply stating the e mail address was no longer in use! The store have been trying to resolve the issue so from this angle they have been very helpful. However it is totally unacceptable to still be waiting for this to be resolved. I am chasing every day!
