I was with Siteground for approximately 4 years and recommended them to a number of clients and business associates in this time, as my business grew I continued to scale my plan. After needing to then downgrade my hosting plan I was told I wasn't able to and the only solution was to buy a new siteground hosting plan and manually migrate all my sites to the new plan (30 sites). This seemed like a pretty stupid solution and I felt pretty ripped off. They make it easy to upgrade but don't want you downgrading, no flexibility. Purely just a money decision they've made to not allow this. Left a pretty sour taste after what had been a good few years with them. The costs were getting pretty high. I was paying around $250usd a month and am now paying $30usd a month with my new host. Unfortunately I won't be back or recommending.
I have never had this level of experience from a rep dealing with Site Ground. I have had this service since 2016. I've been loyal to Site Ground and feel that Site Ground has always assisted me with technical issues. This time was different. I had a short answer from the beginning, and then an argument was pursued that I did not buy Google Workspace through Site Ground. I came to find that I Workspace through Site Ground, and I disconnected it and didn't realize that when I started it back, it was not through Site Ground. I intentionally bought Google Workspace through Site Ground initially because South Site Ground offers a discount. Still, this rep continues to pursue arguments and allow his ego to outshadow service, which I'm used to dealing with Site Ground. This is unfortunate. I hope no one else has to deal with this type of spirit.
Our site, that has had over 2 million hits in the last two months, just got taken offline on a Friday afternoon at 2pm right before one of our busiest weekends of the year - and why - because we were not on the right package!!! No warning!!! We are an animal rescue charity and are heavily reliant on our website for our income. Could have been any day of the week when there are people around to sort the issue - but no!! What kind of company does this sort of thing to a charity or business of any kind!? Time to look for a new hosting provider!!!!!
I'?€™m incredibly frustrated with my experience with SiteGround. My money was taken, and I was charged for their services, but I have no invoice or receipt to confirm the payment. What'?€™s worse, I cannot log into my account to access anything or even get proper support.Without a login, there'?€™s no way for me to reach out through their support system, and I'?€™ve been stuck in a loop with no answers. It feels like I'?€™ve been scammed. I paid for a service and am left completely in the dark.I expected better from a company like this, but this level of customer service is unacceptable. If you'?€™re considering SiteGround, be warned: if something goes wrong, you may find yourself locked out and out of luck.I just want this resolved, but I'?€™m losing hope.
I moved from Hostpapa to Siteground to save money. I wish I hadn't. There have been so many issues with Siteground. Performance, slowness, email spam issues. I've been on their support over 10 times and they are hopeless. They just say that's the way it is. Their lack of cpanel and use of Site Tools is also absolutely rubbish. It doesn't work that well and have to login there to view my emails because their spam filters are too aggressive. Everything ends up there and it cannot be removed. I'm absolutely at my wits end with Siteground. I've been with them for 4 months and cannot wait until we are finished with them. Not worth the savings.
I don'?€™t think I trust these reviews. Confusing platform to say the least. Past around when trying to resolve a problem. I didn'?€™t even connect the hosting and because I was 2 days out of the 30 day money back, they refused to refund. Complete waste of my time.
