Aweful experience

Aweful experience, do not recommend them at all! They make updates on your websites and break it then do not take responsibilty for their mistakes, moreover I am paying for months the Email that doesn't work they told me that it would after contacting them a thousand times and still nothing. It is a huge waste of time of money and energy, I do not recommend them, they are worst than Wordpress

Prepare for HUGE price increases once

Prepare for HUGE price increases once your initial subscription ends. Also, prepare for things to not work properly and support to be less than helpful. In my experience, the staging environment did not deploy properly only to be told by support that it works. I was left to diagnose the problem myself.

I'?€™m astonished with all the recent 1

I'?€™m astonished with all the recent 1 star reviews and that customers were experiencing the same downhill service that I received. THANK GOD these crooks were so bad that it forced me to go to Shopify and HOLY wow! I couldn'?€™t believe the difference. I am so HAPPY I left. If you read reviews, I always read the 1 star reviews first because those are warning signs of what you'?€™ll go through. Siteground doesn'?€™t care about customer loyalty. I was paying over $100 month for 10 years and went down to a shared plan for $50 a month for the next 4 years. I had no idea I was getting RIPPED off since my site is less than 1GB and GODADDY gives you a free domain and it'?€™s $7.99 for 10GB of space at 50% off now. $15 regular price. Compare that to what I'?€™ve ben paying at Siteground makes me sick - $50 vs $7. I thought I was getting a good deal from SG. I had been with SG for 14 years and in the last 2 years, it slowly went downhill. I paid for a backup & restore service and they extended the renewal many times due to their tech support'?€™s mistakes while at the same time only allowing me to log into to my account but not use any of my services! When they extended my renewal they took out all my options that were originally ALWAYS on the account which prevented me from accessing ANY PART of the site except the login. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE EXTENSION THEN?!They had me arguing with them and writing hundreds of hours of complaints to the customer service supervisor and the CEO and the CEO NEVER replied to me nor did he give an ish or had a rep follow up to my issues while it was happening. I even emailed him twice after dealing with these guys for five hours everyday with these issues. Minimum 5 hrs They continued to ignore the evidence in the numerous ongoing tickets that lasted 3 months & would not give me the extension with the full services that I purchased & that were supposed to be extended and reactivated. Each time they gave me an extension every part of my Cpanel was blocked where each step I had to contact them back and then they would give me another extension and allow me to access just another section and due to this, I couldn'?€™t access any features on my account. This went on and on, and they had to give me extensions on each part of the CPanel separately. Then I'?€™d get to the next section that I paid for but it was blocked so again, notified them, they fought nail and tooth to not give me another extension and reluctanctly did, only for ne to find out, I'?€™m still blocked. Extension ran out and I didn'?€™t have full access to features and it went in circles. The extensions was for the full account features but they never honored that and each extension had run out by the time they got back to me. In addition, they kept blocking my IP address for no fu*king reason and of course, I had no idea I was blocked all that time, until again, I had to call in and waste my time trying to get my own IP unblocked from myself. And each time I contacted them they told me that they did me a favor by giving me five extensions. WTH! Who'?€™s training these guys? Those so-called extensions were because they fu*ked up but even so, each time the extensions were granted they blocked all access to my Cpanel. Imagine going through this ongoing hell and having to deal with these unethical policies when your livelihood depends on it. They even said they did '?€œme'?€ ? a favor by extending it x amount of times when in actuality I was blocked from accessing or utilizing my entire CPanel during those so-called extensions. The reps are really nice but lazy. THe ticket was open for 3 months os of course there is a long trail of notes and no one would bother to read them which sent me in circles which infuriated me and it would to you too. 7-10% open rate SG email newsletters - 80% open rate 10 years ago - 80% OPEN RATE on my first newsletter sending from Shopify with the same email list I'?€™ve used for 14 years. I am so happy that their business and customer service went down the drain and forced me to leave. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone and it almost feels like they got sold to a bigger corporation that now doesn'?€™t care about their customers like they used to. Trust me, don'?€™t waste your time and aggravation and years of sales and emails being flagged or shut down because they are trying to nickel and dime you and not allow you to use the server volume that you paid for.The sad part for new customers is that they won'?€™t think of reading these 1 star reviews until after they'?€™ve experienced what we are ALL talking about. Good luck and go with Shopify if you can since they have their own platform, their site is never down and they have in-house engineers ensure that their CMS works 24/7 unlike Siteground. Or if you'?€™re on Wordpress go with GoDaddy.

Review for SiteGround's Spam Filter Feature

At GoMedia.pt, we work with various clients who rely on Gmail to manage multiple inboxes. As a Google partner and provider of Google Workspace services, SiteGround is well aware of the limitations that come with integrating Gmail. Gmail only allows third-party mailbox connections via POP3, which restricts email fetching to the Inbox folder. POP3 does not support downloading other folders, such as Sent, Drafts, or custom folders. This limitation makes managing email for B2B clients, especially with multiple folders, quite challenging.Additionally, we have encountered issues with SiteGround's spam filter marking trusted messages and contacts as spam. Manually adding allowed senders or domains, especially when managing hundreds of mailboxes for B2B clients, is time-consuming and inefficient.Currently, SiteGround's spam filter allows adding allowed senders through Site Tools, but only one by one. This becomes a hurdle when you have to add thousands of trusted senders for each mailbox. For improvement, we believe SiteGround should:'?œ. Allow regex or wildcard characters (like %, *, or *@*.com) in the allowed senders field, which would greatly simplify the management of trusted contacts.'?œ.Enable more flexible options for managing spam filtering, allowing email clients like Gmail and Outlook to handle spam themselves. We'?€™ve always appreciated the great customer experience that SiteGround provides in all other areas, but this particular issue has been a major challenge for us at GoMedia.pt. We are used to give Siteground a '? ? ?'? ? ?'? ? ?'? ? ?'? ? ? rating, but due to this specific limitation, we feel it'?€™s necessary to lower our rating until this issue is addressed.

Support is great, prices not so much.

Their support is great, and their service offering is too.But they regularly massivley increase their prices. While a big initial discount is common in the industry, SiteGround takes it to the extreme. My price got increased by 409.7%. Look for a provider that offer good long-term deals.
