The customer rep was brilliant and the customer service has always been good. However, the company offers 'NEW' customers deals for hosting for just '? ?23 a year. Loyal customers like my business are forced to pay '? ?100's for less than is on offer to the 'NEW' customers. WHEN is loyalty going to be rewarded?
I purchased a hosting plan from SiteGround expecting it to support modern web technologies like Node.js, which is essential for my projects. Unfortunately, after signing up, I discovered that they don'?€™t support Node.js'?€”a huge oversight for a hosting provider claiming to cater to developers. To make matters worse, their no-refund policy leaves customers like me with no recourse if the service doesn'?€™t meet expectations. I reached out to customer support, but they couldn'?€™t provide a satisfactory resolution or alternative solution. As a paying customer, I feel misled and frustrated. Transparency about supported technologies is critical, and the lack of flexibility with refunds only adds to the disappointment. I would not recommend SiteGround to developers or anyone needing a flexible hosting environment.
My annual billing changed in the second year from '? ?116 to '? ?396 '?€”'? a HUGE increase of 341%. This is such an obvious cash grab that it becomes disrespectful. They know you will have set up the websites by then and won'?€™t want to leave.Their system also changes billing from annual to monthly without consent. The technical service they provide is good'?€”although they make it difficult to talk to anyone now'?€”but they have a lot to learn about business.
Warning: Avoid SiteGround HostingBased on my experience, I strongly advise avoiding SiteGround hosting. While their sales team promises the world top-tier support, full access, high performance the reality is very different.'?Ÿ”’ Support Limitations: Their support staff do not have backend server access or the necessary tools to resolve real issues. They essentially act as front-line communicators with limited technical capabilities.'?Ÿ ? ? Misleading Promises: Many of the features and flexibility advertised during the sales pitch simply aren't delivered in practice. Once you'?€™re locked in, you quickly discover that support can'?€™t help with anything beyond basic account queries.'?Ÿ‘Ž Overall Verdict: If you're looking for serious, reliable hosting especially for professional or high-traffic sites look elsewhere. In my view, SiteGround's operation feels like a slick sales team backed by underwhelming infrastructure. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
I always liked Siteground hosting, but today it deleted a collaboration with one website on its own and its technical support is not working. It just gives an error, the life chat is gone. It is not clear where to contact, because it is impossible to ask a question about a non-existent collaboration, the client does not know what happened, I did not cancel the collaboration, technical support is not working, and AI technical support is also not working, it gives an error. All support topics shows just white screens
