My wife and I are in our seventies, and have never paid many hundreds of dollars for a flagship phone under contract with a major cell phone provider. She needed to replace her phone, and Back Market refurbished electronics offered a used top of the line Plus One 8T for just a little over 100. The phone arrived quickly from Texas and was in pristine condition. We could not see any signs the device was used and refurbished. We inserted the sim card and soon she was using her new phone. It has been a few weeks now and the phone continues to perform well. It helped that Back Market offers money back 30 day returns and a one year warranty to make the decision to purchase a refurbished cell phone. Their business model of recycling electronic devices fits in with our frugal spending habit. We would consider Black Market for our next electronic device based on this experience.

I bought a splendidly refurbished Pixel 8a with case and corning glass screen protector all for 100 less than I could have gotten just the phone directly from Google.The phone was delivered as promised, ontime and in recycled and recyclable packing materials. It works flawlessly and met all my expectations for a brand new phone for less money! I would certainly buy from Back Market again.

The phone I ordered did not arrive. I am not blaming backmarket.com for that. FedEx seems to have lost it. However, as I am attempting to communicate with backmarket.com through the website, they seem unwilling to actually read my messages before responding. First they tell me to wait 1 business day, then they suddenly ask me to wait 6 days with no explanation. They keep saying kindly be patient. FedEx has emailed me and asked for specific information about the packagecontents that only the seller has. Being patient wont provide FedEx with the information they need. I just want to quickly respond to FedEx so they can possibly find my item, or get a refund. I think there is only one guy who works there, and he is not helpful. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I have used Back Market now for two tech purchases and each one I have been very satisfied with. My first purchase was an iphone that Ive been using for a year. The item came just as described and I have had no problems with it. The second purchase was a Lenovo laptop and, again, came just as described. I have been using for about a month.With the overconsumption of everything these days, it is so important to me to do everything I can to keep things out of the landfill. The false idea that we must to buy everything new needs to be abolished and I am SO thankful for Back Market providing the service they do. AND I get to buy the tech I need for a much lower cost! I bought a phone and agreed to a trade in of my old phone. I followed their instructions, packed it in their box, used their shipping label and sent it via UPS. It got lost in transit. Since they initiated the shipping label I had to wait for them to start an investigation. They screwed me around for 3 solid months and still have not done it. I used a drop box, so I didnt get a receipt, and they say I have to have a receipt. The UPS site literally says WE HAVE YOUR PACKAGE. I reported to the BBB, and they promised to release the funds. That was almost 2 weeks ago. I went to the site today and the transaction is cancelled, the funds are not available. I will never trust this site again. They were borderline rude and unreasonable. This is NOT customer service, this is theft.

I received an iPad from Tekhouz through backmarket. The device arrived with the screen lifted off of the base of the device. Initially it was relatively small, so I did not return the device, but over the next several weeks it delaminated further and performance of the device was effected. Eventually the screen began cracking. Tekhouze insisted that we dropped the device which then became delaminated, which was not true. Despite purchasing the extended warranty through back market they insisted the damage was not covered. So I had to eat the cost of the device with no resolution. I highly advise not purchasing devices from back market or tekhouz.

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical of buying a refurbished phone as I was worried that it may have issues or be cut rate in some way. However, it works perfectly and is a GREAT phone!Also, they told me that if I sent in my old phone which is years old, theyd pay me 76 for it. They even paid the shipping to send it, and I got the money very fast.Everything they do is very fast and they send you emails all along the way, telling you where things stand, when you should expect your phone, when the phone you traded in is received by them, when it is looked at by them, etc., etc. You know whats happening every step of the way and its very fast.Would definitely use this company again!

There is no way to contact these guys! They leave you completely hanging if you need them to fix your item after their SCAM of a Protection Plan! Since I received the refurbished iPad from them it bareely stays charged. I rarely use it and originally bought it for a convention. I need it now and it doesnt hold a charge! I have to wait about 8 hours for it to charge and it begins draining QUICKLY the second I log in and start using it! It barely makes it an hour before its at 5. When I follow the Help Me prompts on their site it takes me to this seller doesnt offer repairs. So WHAT HAVE I BEEN PAYING FOR A PROTECTION PLAN FOR ALL THIS TIME???????? SCAM!!!!!
