Tried for first time. Not impressed at all. Couldn??t believe how little was in the box and the recipe lacked inspiration. Results were poor and not enjoyable. Will not buy again.

The worst customer service I have experienced

I have used gousto for four years and despite the occasional missing or poor quality ingredient it??s been ok .. until you need their customer service . I HAVE NEVER had such poor customer service . They lie don??t do what they say are going to do and say ?? we are sorry ?? constantly whilst not listening to you timoboldt you need to give your staff customer service training on how to actually look after customers and not act like an automated machine

Pots and Pans Fest

Weve been using Gusto for a few months now, whilst one or two of the recipes are good, majority are a pots and pan fest for what should be simple and easy to cook...these are not.I dont know who writes or tests the recipes but clearly theyve only worked in huge kitchens with industrial sized dishwashers or the minions of pot washers.A classic example is their Creamy Tuna Pasta Bake recipe which needed 5 potspans to create...ridiculous. You can buy a decent ready made tesco finest for around the same price and just warm in the oven or just making one from a jar. Struggling to see what the benefits are in using Gusto.We also had an issue with missing ingredients and was told by their support to team to buy our own ...as they wouldnt send out the missing ones.Portion controlsizing is random for each recipe and generally inaccurate so a meal for 3 in most cases ends up being for 5, which ends up with food wasted andor binned.Paused our weekly meals now and likely will be cancelling.

Ordered my first gusto box

Ordered my first gusto box. Cooked the the first 3 meals over 3 day and have enjoyed them so much, just had to write and tell you about it. I can??t wait to do the other 2 meals over the next 2 days. My husband has also enjoyed them and he tends to be a fussy person with food. 10 out 10

One star maybe too much!

Hard to offer more than 1 star. We joined Gousto in March and duly registered, made a first order and awaited delivery following emails from them to say the 3 meal order was being prepared and would be delivered. On the Friday of delivery, nothing happened! No contact, no delivery?nothing! I contacted customer relations on 3 occasions and was told my concerns would be passed on. Then?.nothing. Zip. Zero. No contact, no food, nothing. As I say, no effort was made to rectify the situation. They just appear not to care and that was March. It is now May and radio silence persists.

Payment taken without my permission

Cancelled subscription ahead of the cut off date, still took payment, online chat told me I had to wait up to 10days for it to be returned to my bank. Left me without 48.24, this was money I didnt have to spare! Gousto werent interested that I was left without it. I asked to be compensated and they said no. Disgusting way to treat customers!

Awful Service, Save your money go with an alternative...

I have had several issues with them but today is the straw that broke the camels back, If only you could rate this with minus stars...Was told the box would not be delivered and the order was cancelled via email at 215. Called customer service to see what is going on only to be told the box will not be delivered today but the order is not cancelled They then went on to tell me the food will be delivered tomorrow Tuesday but the food will not be edible and I should dispose of this. I explained my frustration that this was unacceptable.I explained that this was unacceptable and offering me 5 of my next box is a joke and why they could not send a replacement box out for delivery tomorrow the customer service team member proceeded to just ended the call. Highly unprofessional and appalling service. I think I will use another company going forward.My honest opinion is they have good menus. But the likelihood of getting all your ingredients, delivered fully and in an edible condition is not that high in the grand scheme of things. If you are happy to log missing and damaged ingredients every week then I wish you well but clearly they have no fail safes when boxes go missing or customer service skills to resolve these issues. To sum up my advice to people who want to use Gousto is... Good Luck

Hit or miss (mostly miss) with meals.

Used Gusto and all initially seemed good. Then we were sent a weeks meal that we thought we had cancelled, they substituted 4 awful meals and then very lame customer services. Personally I think that their CS are shocking and don??t really care and probably outsourced. Also note Most weeks something was missing, from prawns to garlic. Very frustrating.

Taken 2 payments, zero boxes delivered

This is my third try of Gusto and I just despair of this company. I cancelled my previous subscription around 2 years ago or so after they sent gone off food that they then had to replace which put me off. Recently decided to try it again to see if the quality had improved. I signed up, didnt give much thought to what email I used last time, selected some meals and was impressed to see they could deliver the very next day and offered me a discount! Too good to be true...YEP! Im at the same address as before so one would assume any issues with getting a discount again would have quickly flagged up. I patiently wait for my delivery, doesnt turn up. Delivery company just say speak to Gusto. I contact Gusto who tell me sorry items wont be fresh now so we have cancelled your order. Not great, but surely common sense tells me they will probably just resend the box...no, that would be too sensible. Everythings cancelled, refund in 3 days, to back and reorder yourself. Best head to the shops to get food for the week after all. But alas! My card declined! Check my statement, Gusto have taken a further payment! I see an email from the customer services manager, Paul. Paul tells me hes cancelled my account after he has found out Im trying to take down Gusto by, god forbid, using a different email address and therefore claiming a discount on my first box. Not to worry, Paul kindly informs me he will be keeping a close eye on any further accounts I try to set up and Im sure will take immediate action against me. Paul, perhaps you can update your I.T systems to recognise deliveries to the same address to the same recipient... Seems a fairly basic check that would prevent you dishing out discounts to undeserving customers. He then took another payment out of my account and tells me a box is arriving the following day! I set my deliveries to monthly, appears they are attempting daily deliveries instead. Now I have to wait patiently for GustoPaul to give me my money back.So wouldnt recommend and make sure you remember what details you used 2 years ago or brace yourself for being accused of committing fraud.

Can not recommend Gousto enough!

Can not recommend Gousto enough!Not only are the recipes superb. Weve been using for a few years now and have loved every one of them but their support is probably the best support weve experienced with any company. A big thanks to Rihanna B for most recently supporting us with an issue that was our fault entered wrong address. Would also like to say that weve also used Hello Fresh and Mindful Chef and neither compare at all when it comes to the recipes, support, price or quality of ingredients. Also Ive always loved cooking, its something I truly enjoy. The recipes have made me a much better home chef. When I need to cook a non gousto meal im now able to create really creative and well cooked meals but I still choose to use gousto as I love that they give me such a variety of options that I just wouldnt be able to come up with on a daily basis. We also eat out at restaurants and takeaways so much less. Its thoroughly disappointing to eat out and pay a load of money for a meal that is often not as good as a gousto meal. Lastly I find using gousto cheaper than shopping at the super market. Probably because at the super market you end up buying too much of everything so technically it probably is cheaper but end up with more waste. So gousto does actually save us money. I dont understand why they dont have a 5 star rating on trust pilot genuinely. The B Corp status is very well deserved.Big fan. keep up the great work!Our account is under wifes name K Beaven
