Decided to cancel when food went off within its use by date. Added cream to a meal I made and ruined it because the cream was sour. Not happy. It costs more money when you??re forced to get a take away. I refrigerate and freeze everything when it arrives. Carrots always seem to shrivel to nothing within a few days so obviously not that fresh. Sometimes bags are split too.

Instructions are confusing and not really step by step. Tells you to boil a kettle or preheat the oven ages before you actually get to use it. If you order for the week, the meat and greens don??t last till end of week. When I got to my last meal which is supposed to be Teriyaki chicken with sesame greens, instead of the mangetouts and sugar snap peas I got 4 packs of green beans.. not quite sure what I??m supposed to do with that, guess will just have chicken and rice

I have been a long standing customer of gousto for a couple of years. We have always enjoyed it. However this week I am really upset and angry. I am a vegetarian and they substituted vegetable stock for chicken stock which was not labelled properly not labelled as chicken stock on the front at all!. They had emailed to say that they were substituting vegetable stock for super concentrated vegetable stock so I was not surprised that the stock sachet looked different. However I did not think to check the back of the sachet, where in small writing it says chicken! I am so angry as I accidently used on and consumed meat. I raised a complaint and all I got was a flippant oops sorry about that. Heres 5! Its definitely not about the money but the response and lack of empathy or recognition for the seriousness of their error has been astounding. Makes me wonder how effective they are at handling serious dietary requirements! There is clearly a lack of control and checks in their preparation area. So disappointed! I have put all future orders on hold as I have asked to escalate the matter but lets see whether they actually bother to properly acknowledge the upset their carelessness has caused.

Something went wrong with the box. The freezer bags had melted and I had to throw away ALL of the meat on the advice of the manager at Gousto. They said they needed the barcode on the box. I had to fish it out of the recycle bin, take a photo and send it. Wrong one. So I took a picture of the lable which has the date on it etc. No. It??s the wrong one they replied. I sent them pictures from every side of the box. I??m still waiting for a response. Apparently it??s a LMP number on the box Last meal purchased? It was nowhere on the box. I am recovering from cancer therapy and cannot go out. I??m relying on these boxes. I??m fuming and will not order from them ever again. ETA I called again and the matter was resolved.

Really disappointed with the customer service. We were happy to use this company moving forwards but found them to be extremely unhelpful. I??ve cancelled and will use one of their competitors. It is a shame as we were enjoying the meals.

Avoid them totally regret starting my subscription!! ordered box had to update payment details which I did and my selection changed sending meat to a person who is vegetarian!!! Only refunded 13.25!!!

Out of the three weeks and 13 meals we have had only once did I feel that I hadn??t had enough food. I understand the principle of cooking and preparing meals as a pleasure but working of recipe cards I find a little frustrating.When you cook your own food you don??t do this so anything that would reduce the amount of time read the recipes or preparation of the food would assist.

Box received was none of the recipes I??d ordered and not suitable for us. When I complained I was given an apology and told that ??hopefully I??d enjoy those meals anyway?. I had to fight for a refund even though they??d not sent any of what I??d ordered and paid for and it wasn??t suitable for kids. Ingredients are often missing and when you complain they offer credits of 1 or similar low value amounts. That may be the cost of the ingredient but it doesn??t cover the cost of either binning the recipe because you can??t make a bean stew without beans, or going out to the supermarket given Gousto is meant to make life easier and more convenient. Customer service is dismal and seems to be set up to value the customer as little as possible. I??ve cancelled after being a customer for over a year because the errors are too frequent and customer service just doesn??t care.

The meals are just getting worse. Come on guys, its ridiculous at this point. One meal recently was just a plate of cooked vegetables if onion, potato, courgette and chickpeas even counts with pitta bread and cheese. Thats just five raw ingredients heated up and slapped on a plate.And it hasnt escaped my attention that every single recipe in the last week wants me to cook everything in a generous drizzle of olive oil, then make a dressing or sauce with three tbsp olive oil then drizzle over a generous amount of olive oil to serve. I also notice this is the only ingredient they dont include and by far the most expensive one.

I have subscribed to Gousto for some time but they changed delivery agent and my deliveries were not arriving until 2200ish. I therefore cancelled my subscription but despite this they are still delivering. I was told this is because they will deliver anything in the upcoming deliveries, despite me having cancelled my subscription 2 weeks ago. This is a bit of information for other people planning on cancelling as they may still charge you unfortunately the customer service agents were still not able to cancel and help when I rang and messaged.

Having used the service for nearly a year we only had a few snags and things seemed to get sorted quickly. The last two weeks Ive had no box delivered. The first one the Yodel Driver left on some bins on a public access lane. The second just got cancelled for some reason due to Yodel apparently. I dont get why they would continue to use such a notoriously poor courier. Then theres the terrible customer service, I feel there has been a change with this and the live chat is dreadful. I cant believe they are anything other than bots as they just spout the same tired lines. Two weeks, no food, having to replan everything and they think 5 and 20 off my next order, which may not even arrive, is sufficient as an apology andor compensation. I cancelled my subscription yesterday, I suggest others should too.

Lovely tasty meals, easy to follow recipes and quick and easy to make. A few of the vegetables have been passed their best unfortunately however the majority have been fresh

I??ve been a Gousto customer for around three years. Started out faultless but gradually and certainly over the last couple of months, the experience has been rather lifeless, the same as the ??fresh? fruit and veg. You can forgive the occasional mishap, but today??s box has taken it to another level. Recipe cards missing, most of the vegetables not fit for consumption. It??s ok to over a compensation as money off your next box, but when you have to replace the rotting vegetable before you can complete a recipe, it kind of defeats the object. Time to cancel my subscription and go elsewhere.

Gousto launching in Northern Ireland has been a game changer for me. As a working mum, I struggled to come up with recipe ideas during the week and am so happy to be able to organise family dinners weeks in advance. The variety of meals on offer is amazing, my boxes always arrive on time with no missing ingredients and most importantly the dinners are unbelievably delicious. I??ve been ordering from you for months now and intend to continue longterm. Thank you!

Very disappointed with Gousto.My first box arrived with less than top quality ingredients and items were leaking.I paused my subscription in view of this and 2 weeks later I receive a box that I did not order with ingredients that I would not use too.After speaking with Giusto Im told they wont take it back, items were chosen by chefs and Im stuck with it basically.Totally rubbish company.I have since cancelled altogether and will not use again.I feel this company will take advantage of customers and especially older folk.In reply to your answer my subscription was put on hold as I did not need a box. Also, I did not receive any emails telling me to choose a meal or that a box was on order.This gas been a complete shambles as if I had receive such enail then I woukd have made contact to cancel.I have gad to pay for something that I did not order and gave given it to the local food bank.

Terrible experience. Canceled subscription charged me for a box after canceling literally called me a liar when I said that I had not received email telling me I had to cancel boxes myself even though the subscription was cancelled. Promised a manager would call me. Nothing. Promised a transcript of call again nothing. Customer Service disconnected me. I was not rude or swearing. Please avoid this company. They will steal you money after you cancel. They will lie and promise you a callback knowing that this will never happen. Once they have your money they are happy. They do not care about their customers

I??ve used Gousto on and off for years and generally really enjoyed the food and had little issue.However, last week I ordered a one off box and it arrived with the bottom of it soaking wet from the courier, DPD. Contacted Gousto and sent pics when requested, but have been asked questions by three different people as to how the box got wet?.??!! I obviously don??t know the answer to this, as I??m not the courier.In my opinion Gousto should be more concerned about the possible health and safety aspect of their boxes being delivered to their customers soaking wet with water or AN Other substance on their raw, unwrapped food.Their customer service of late leaves very little to be desired and to be honest has put me off using them again.

I tried Gousto when my Hello Fresh discount ended and there was an offer with Gousto for discounted boxes. I have to say I prefer Hello Fresh. I??ve had 2 Gousto deliveries now and the food just tastes bland. There doesn??t seem to be much flavour in anything I??ve had so far and I haven??t really enjoyed most of them. Even though I??ve got a few weeks worth of discounts left, I??m going to cancel once the next delivery has arrived this weekend which will be my 3rd box. I thought I??d give them a reasonable go and get 23 boxes in case other meals were better but they??re all bland. Hello Fresh is a lot more organised when it comes to the recipes too. It comes in numbered brown paper bags with the dry ingredients for each recipe all you have to do is put the fresh ones in with them. With Gousto there??s no separate bags to put each set of recipe ingredients in, they all come together in the box and all the spicessauces come together in a bag. It??s hard to keep each individual meal ingredients together in the fridge without bags. The recipe cards are also smaller with Gousto so are not as easy to read. Gousto recipes are not as varied as they make out. For example, last week there was a lot of recipes all containing Basa. They just had one ingredient different, eg potato instead of pasta or a different flavoured sauce so there??s not as much variety and choice as they have you believe. I won??t be using again, I??ll go back to Hello Fresh.
