Disgraceful Antisemitism & Appalling Management ResponseI am leaving this one-star review to report a deeply disturbing antisemitic incident I experienced at the Halfords in Ballymena, which was compounded by a completely inadequate management response.On the 17th of August, at approximately 3 pm, I was in the store waiting for a purchase to be installed. As an observant Jewish person, wearing my kippah, I was utterly horrified to hear an employee, who was working on a silver Hyundai SUV just outside, singing "Throw the Jew down the well".When I confronted the employee and his colleague to ask if it was all Jews they were planning on throwing down the well, they simply muttered a response and offered no apology whatsoever.To make matters worse, the company's follow-up has been just as shocking. When the store manager, Chris, phoned the next day, he couldn't have seemed less interested in the incident. He was completely unprepared for the call and didn't even have the basic details of this serious complaint at hand, showing a total lack of concern or professionalism.I am outraged by both the initial antisemitic attack and the subsequent dismissive attitude from management. I am considering reporting this to the Police and all relevant statutory bodies. Other customers deserve to know about the culture of hatred and indifference that is clearly being tolerated at this store.
