Review of Guestreservations
Guest Reservations is a SCAM!After being directed to what I thought was a hotel's website, I made a two-night reservation. Only after receiving the confirmation email did I discover I was charged a MASSIVE 45% SERVICE FEE. I immediately contacted Guest Reservations. They refused to refund me without an $800 penalty. (The approximate cost of the two nights booked.) I contacted the hotel and found I could have gotten a better room and paid far less if I'd booked direct. Guest Reservation overcharged and under delivered. The hotel told me the Guest Reservations booking came through as a Booking.com reservation. It seems that Room Reservations buys hotel rooms through companies like Booking.com and then resells those rooms at a substantial profit including ridiculous service charges. A lucrative and highly deceptive scam. This has been an expensive learning lesson for me. Trip Advisor had what looked like a direct website link to the hotel but that link took me to a false site, owned by Guest Reservations. The Guest Reservations landing page appears to be a Reservations page for the hotel of interest. Guest Reservations makes every effort to have you believe you are booking directly with the hotel and doesn't list the service charges it will be billing. It's a fraudulent practice. Very frustrating to be deceived and robbed in this manner. Buyer beware. Stay far, far away from Guest Reservations, a truly evil and fraudulent company.
