Review of Square US
Working with Square has been one of the worst experiences I have had as a business owner and this is the very first time I have ever left a 1 star review in my life. Every time you call them and ask for help, they have no answers other than what is already in their online help center and if you have questions outside of that, they have don't have answers to give you. When asking for itemized receipts for the subscriptions, they say don't have itemized receipts for the subscriptions you're paying for with date ranges for your accounting records. When you use their payroll system, there are multiple errors that can happen and they are not willing to help you in fixing the errors, they just tell you that your employees will get paid a day later, which is not how I am going to run my business, my employees deserve to get paid on time. We used them for payroll to pay taxes on our behalf, the state required me to submit reports monthly but Square said they do it quarterly and so I had to do this myself. Tax payments that were supposed to be sent to the state I was told were paid but the state says they have note received them and when I ask for proof that these payments were made on our behalf, they said all they have is the report I can download, but that report doesn't show proof of payment to the state. I only used payroll for LESS than 3 months for payroll and have had so many issues and no help. When asking to speak with a manager for some help, they can only put in a request to get a call back which can take 36-48 hours and who knows what happens if you miss their call. I wish I never used this company, they are just awful for business owners.
