Misleading Trial & Unauthorized Charge, Be Cautious with TopPDF

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience using TopPDF. The platform advertised a ?1 payment to access the file and a 3-day free trial, which led me to try their service. However, I was charged PHP 899 just one day after signing up, well before the supposed trial ended. I did not use any of the Pro features and canceled the subscription immediately upon noticing the unexpected charge.To make matters worse, their refund policy conveniently avoids accountability, stating that once the service is "activated" (which apparently happens just by linking GCash), refunds are not guaranteed, even if you were charged during the free trial period. This was never made clear in advance. I only saw the trial notice after linking my GCash, and by then, it was too late.This is misleading at best and unethical at worst. I believe I’m eligible for a refund because:*I was charged before the 3-day trial ended.*I did not use the paid features.*I took immediate action to cancel the subscription.There was no clear warning about premature charges. I have already filed a formal refund request with GCash and reported the incident to the DTI (Department of Trade and Industry). If you experienced the same issue, I strongly encourage you to do the same and report this platform to the proper authorities.Consumers deserve transparency and honesty, not hidden fees and tricky subscription setups. I hope TopPDF reconsiders its approach and refunds those who were misled.
