The turning point wasn’t just the unauthorized charges—which are unacceptable on their own—but the overall decline in customer service and company values.What’s most disappointing is how much Square has changed. It once felt like a company that truly supported small business owners. Now, it feels impersonal, rigid, and profit-driven at the expense of customer trust.With so many competitive alternatives offering comparable features and more responsive support, I won’t be looking back. I hope Square re-evaluates how it treats long-standing customers before more of us walk away.
