Poor customer service. Deceptive information on the website. I bought a Groupon voucher, a great deal. the voucher said shipping was not included, which is fine with me, but I wanted to make sure shipping was a reasonable cost so I went onto the website to check. It says specifically on the website that the shipping cost within the 48 contiguous United States was $9.99. I was charged $14.90 shipping (which actually would have been okay with me IF that was what was posted on the website), so I asked for a refund of the extra $4.91 I was charged. The first representative emailed and told me that free shipping does not apply to discount vouchers, that I needed to read the voucher for details. I emailed back and repeated that I was only asking for the difference between the posted shipping cost and what I was charged, I did not ask for free shipping. It is insulting that she assumed I was asking for something for free, rather than asking the company to merely live up to what the website offers, and also insulting that she assumed I did not read the voucher. The second response I got told me "We apologize for any confusion this may have caused." whatever "this" is beyond not supporting what is advertised on the site. I was again told to read my voucher (which I had before even going to their website, thank you very much). Thank you, Canvas On Sale "Customer Service" staff for assuming that your customers are stupid and only asking for free stuff - TERRIBLE customer service.
