Unfortunately after 8 years trading with Bitswyft, I can no longer recommend them to short sellers any longer.The reason being is margin restricted stocks. They dont just restrict margin but also the cash amount you can short sell with, sometimes extreme.The largest I have seen is 10-1, which means to make a $10k short, you need $100k in cash in your account.Totally unacceptable to tell traders how much of their own cash they can trade with. This only applies to short sellers whereas longs can use full account balance, even on a margin restricted stock.This practice happens with ANY stock which has any decent day, so basically every stock a short wants to trade. This also makes it impossible to know how much you can trade without first looking at the list before trying to locate. Not a good broker for short sellers.. Stay away if you can...
Customer service is immediate, responsive, and personable. Platform UI is unparalleled as are their commissions (for Canada). Their UI and overall smoothness of experience is phenomenal. I just had issues with utilizing their paid ($59.00 USD) Bitswyft Demo account and there were multiple bugs and issues. They did rectify them but not without me being the advocate. I still think they deserve a 5-Star because everything else is overwhelmingly great, they own up to and fix their mistakes, and they always seek to improve. This platform is definitely the future for trading and I plan to use it a lot more going forward.
